Michigan prosecutor arrested, charged with unspecified crime

Source: Reuters

The top prosecutor in central-Michigan's Ingham County, which includes the capital city, Lansing, has been arrested and charged with unspecified crimes, the Michigan attorney general's office said on Monday.

Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings was first elected prosecutor in 1996 and was re-elected in 2012 to a fifth four-year term, according to the Lansing State Journal and his campaign website.

The attorney general's office said it could not provide any more details on the arrest or charges until a 1 p.m. ET news conference.

The Lansing State Journal said the charges are one count of willful neglect of duty and two counts of engaging the services of a prostitute, citing court documents. A court official reached by Reuters was unable immediately to confirm the report.

Sounds like the GOP Senate that won't faithfully execute their duties in office

to hold hearings on a presidential Supreme Court nominee

despite their oath of office
