Donald Trump, Ted Cruz Trade Barbs Over National Enquirer Report
Source: ABC News
Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump blamed rival Ted Cruz for starting a spat leading up to a report in the National Enquirer claiming "political operatives" are looking into rumors that the Texas senator had multiple marital infidelities.
Trump again denied he or his campaign had anything to do with the National Enquirer report. Cruz has blamed the report on Trump and his "henchmen" while forcefully denying it.
"I had nothing to do with it. The campaign had absolutely nothing to do with it," Trump told ABC's Jonathan Karl on "This Week" Sunday. "I have over control over the National Enquirer."
In an appearance on Fox News, Cruz said he doesn't believe that Trump had no involvement in the story's publication.

Trump also claims that Ted Cruz started the whole thing with a pro-Cruz SuperPAC spamming Utah voters with a centerfold picture of Trump's wife.

(17,387 posts)Ted Cruz is lying in trying to blame Donald Trump for spreading the rumors, since Rubio's campaign has long been trying to publicize these rumors. Of course, Cruz has nothing to gain in blaming Rubio, so he blames Trump.

Maybe Donald Trump isnt behind the Ted Cruz sex scandal story leak to the National Enquirer after all.
According to The Daily Beast, for months and months, anti-Cruz operatives have pitched a variety of #CruzSexScandal stories to a host of prominent national publications.
One such outlet was Breitbart News, which was shown a compilation video of Cruz and a woman other than his wife coming out of the Capitol Grille restaurant and a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a source inside the publication told The Daily Beast. (Leave it to a politician to keep a standardized booty call schedule.)
The Breibart source confirmed that theyd received the video from a Rubio ally, but ultimately decided against running the story because, There was no way to verify the claims.

Now Donald J. Trump has upset the already beleaguered people of Belgium, calling its capital, Brussels, a hellhole.
Asked by the Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo about the feasibility of his proposal to bar foreign Muslims from entering the United States, Mr. Trump argued that Belgium and France had been blighted by the failure of Muslims in these countries to integrate.
There is something going on, Maria, he said. Go to Brussels. Go to Paris. Go to different places. There is something going on and its not good, where they want Shariah law, where they want this, where they want things that you know, there has to be some assimilation. There is no assimilation. There is something bad going on.

Belgium has come under scrutiny for failing to tame growing radicalization. Éric Zemmour, a French writer, recently suggested in an interview that rather than bombing the Islamic States self-declared capital of Raqqa, Syria, France should bomb Molenbeek, the working-class district in Brussels where several of the Paris attackers lived.

(6,344 posts)On Meet The Press this morning it was refreshing to see they highlighted that Trump had a very revealing interview with the Washington Post panel. He could not stay on topic and kept diverting when it got difficult for him.
They did an entire comparison with his diversion tactics/constitutional character. Including, this scandal which diverted away from the Washington Post interview that shows his incompetence.

(17,387 posts)Arguing over who is more pro-torture, more anti-immigrant, and who treats their wife more like a personal possession, rather than a person. I am surprised that Ted did not dare him to "say it to his face," which he likes to do to show that he is so tough.
