Taliban Fires Three Rockets at Afghan Parliament

KABUL, Afghanistan — The Afghan Taliban claimed responsibility for firing three rockets at the country's parliamentary compound Monday.
Lawmakers said no one was injured and there was only minor damage from the rockets, which struck around the time top law enforcement officials were giving a security briefing to politicians.

One rocket hit an extension of the parliamentary building, causing minor damage, the second landed in the parliamentary grounds and the third landed inside an adjacent army base, according to Afghan Sen. Nisar Harres.
He added the parliamentary sessions continued uninterrupted and denied reports of parliament being evacuated.
