Democratic Party's computers breached by Russian hackers

Source: US News

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sophisticated hackers linked to Russian intelligence services broke into the Democratic National Committee's computer networks and gained access to confidential emails, chats and opposition research on presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, people familiar with the breach said Tuesday.

CrowdStrike Inc., a cybersecurity firm, said the DNC asked it to investigate a suspected breach of its systems that began as early as last summer. CrowdStrike said it quickly found traces of two of the best adversaries in the hacking arena, both tied to the Russian government.

The newly revealed attacks join a host of high-profile digital breaches affecting current and past White House hopefuls, underscoring vulnerabilities in digital networks that increasingly hold sensitive data about political candidates, their opponents and their donors.

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz called the incident serious and said the committee moved quickly to "kick out the intruders and secure our network." The DNC said donor, financial and personal information did not appear to have been accessed by the hackers.

It smell like a great deflection strategy... 'We were hacked... But they stole trump stuff'

If the hacker did steal Trump stuff, why in gods name would the DMC broadcast that? That would be stupid!

The DNC and RNC have been instrumental in not only limiting/breaking security by way of their legislation, but also by perpetuating the surveillance culture offshoring security matters since we have shit education.

Too bad so sad... that's what they keep telling us.. so f 'em.

(Fixed, word 'sew' from spell check, to 'sow' due to english teachers on the forum) Sue me.

If you're going to make an attempt snark and try to make a point, get your terminology correct.

You do know that you can exchange pronouns to fit the situation? If I use the word "you" it would seem to refer to someone directly related in this discussion, of which is not my point. I intend to use the word "them" to include multiple groups of which the word "you" would be incorrect since it would reference an individual or at most a single group, of which I did not.

But thanks for the useless post that assumes that all idioms must be delivered verbatim!

Here's some idioms/phrases to look at so that you may broaden your literary scope in the future:

I guess when Bernie's camp "stole" all those voter files (and then like a dope, TOLD the DNC there were flaws in the programming) - THAT wasn't enough of a heads up for the DNC to try and find a capable administrator who could ferret out and hire capable internet intellects. Incredible.

HOW MUCH damage to the Democratic party is she allowed to wreak before someone pulls the plug on her?????

He fled the country classified materials and gave
the Chinese and the Russians a chance to access it
while he begged them for asylum.

Chelsea Manning was the whistle blower, but he
violated the UCMJ. He was the only one man enough
to stay in America and take his punishment, unlike the COWARD
Snowden !
