A NAZI-saluting pal of Vladimir Putin was among Russian thugs booted out of France yesterday.

Alexander Shprygin, 38, was on a coach raided by cops as it headed to Lille, where more Russians attacked English and Welsh fans last night. A group of around 70 hard-core “ultras” wearing masks and dressed in black launched a vicious assault in the city centre while chanting: “We are Russians!”

Dozens of Russians were hauled off the bus as it travelled north for their game today with Slovakia — amid fears of more trouble with England playing Wales just 20 miles away in Lens tomorrow.

Shprygin was snapped alongside Russian President Putin at a football fan’s funeral in 2010 and was pictured doing a Nazi salute at a thrash metal gig.

2. "Nazi" isn't an ethnicity. It's an ideology.

German Nazis and their fellow-travellers killed Russians (and more Ukrainians). However, much of the reason was because Germans wanted to restore their nation's greatness. That, and produce an empire.

Ukrainian "Nazis" wanted to set up their own nation in WWII. They fought Russians like the Filipinos fought the Spanish. "Russky go home!" Many of them also fought the German Nazis during the German occupation.

The ideology isn't tied to a specific ethnicity. American Nazis aren't necessary in favor of expanding Germany.
