Canada Task Force to Study Marijuana Legalization

Canada is launching a task force to study the regulation of recreational marijuana ahead of a legalization measure the government plans to send to parliament in the Spring of 2007.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had promised to legalize the drug during his 2015 campaign.
Canada's Minister of Justice Jody Wilson-Raybould, said Thursday that the task force will help devise a system regulating marijuana production, distribution and sales.
Anne McLellan, who will chair the task force, said they will be consulting with provincial and municipal governments as well as with U.S. states like Colorado and Washington, where recreational marijuana is legal.

Justice Minister Wilson-Raybould announced today the launch of a task force to advise the Canadian government on how best to move forward with its plan to legalize marijuana.
The nine-member task force will be chaired by Anne McLellan, a former deputy prime minister under Paul Martin who also served as a health and justice minister.
"The task force will use what it has heard to advise the government on the design of the legislation and the regulatory framework that will include a new system of strict marijuana sales and distribution," Wilson-Raybould said during a news conference in Ottawa on Thursday.

Maple Leaf Indica
This pure indica strain grows dark, fat leaves that suggest both the classic marijuana symbol and the maple leaf symbol of Canada...

This was part of the Liberal platform that allowed them to sweep King Steve out last year, thank goodness. It's a strange time, as they're working on regulations and such right now. Medical Marijuana is already allowed, and there are tons of dispensaries popping up looking to make a quick buck. There was a big raid recently on a lot of the dispensaries that the police thought were selling to recreational users (who don't hold a license).
Interesting story about the raid and the push forward here:
