Football Players at Idaho High School Raped Black Disabled Teammate With Hanger

John R.K. Howard, considered the “ringleader” because it was his idea to rape the 18-year-old victim, according to the investigation, reportedly kicked in the coat hanger multiple times.

White Dietrich High School football players in Idaho “more likely than not” viciously raped a black, mentally disabled teammate with a plastic coat hanger in a locker room last year, according to newly released findings from a school district investigation.

KTVB reports that “Superintendent Benjamin Hardcastle and Principal Stephanie Shaw conducted 30 interviews with students, parents and coaches at the school and reviewed footage from a surveillance camera outside the locker room.”

“We found evidence of misconduct among students that include sexual harassment, bullying behavior and sexual assault,” Hardcastle wrote in the documents.

The Oct. 22, 2015, incident wasn’t the first time the victim had been assaulted by teammates John R.K. Howard, 18, and Tanner Ward, 17, according to his mother and the school’s investigation, but it was by far the worst.

Ya know...this is a time that I would probably go to one of my friends I grew up with in the Philly burbs who belongs to one of the old Philly mob families that I would call in a favor. I would absolutely want to castrate those bastards. There is a special place in hell for those boys.

Sentence for this. Their lives need to be FUBAR. I hope his parents get fucked over on this too for raising a monster. To prey on a disabled teammate because he's black and disabled makes my blood boil. Sick bastard.

Then he gets to find out what hell is all about when he gets a life sentence and meets his new friends at the Big House. Hope he is there until the day he dies.

At some point I think the police should have taken over.

Those involved do indeed need to suffer the consequences.

This article is about the release of the high school's internal review findings.

John R.K. Howard and two other boys are accused of raping a disabled teammate with a coat hanger after football practice last fall.

Howard was the last of the three boys accused in this Dietrich High School assault to be arraigned, and at 18 years old, he is the only one charged as an adult in this case.

Today Howard pleaded not guilty to felony charges of forcible penetration with a foreign object for that alleged locker room rape last October.

...........

"The maximum penalty of which is imprisonment in the state penitentiary for life and/or a fine up to $50,000. Other significant consequences are that the defendant would be required to register as a sex offender for life," said Fifth District Judge Eric Wildman.

Athletes abusing athletes
By Tom Farrey
ESPN.com

In Vermont, hockey players grab each others' genitalia and parade around in a freshman initiation ceremony. In Connecticut, a high school wrestler is hog-tied and sodomized with the blunt end of a plastic knife. In Oklahoma, a football player suffers a head injury after being jumped by teammates.

(Snip)
After decades, perhaps even a century, of darkness, the hazing of athletes by athletes is getting its first thorough public examination. Once seemingly the province of fraternities and the military, hazing has emerged from the shadows. A series of initiation-related incidents gone wrong have forced the world of sports to look inward to quantify and address any problems.

Answers are not easy to come by. There has been only one comprehensive study done on sports team hazing -- by Alfred (N.Y.) University, which last year surveyed athletes, coaches and administrators on 224 college campuses. The response rate in some sports, such as football, was low. Some athletic directors dismissed the study's premise as ridiculous, insisting that hazing was confined to Greek Row.

One of the more telling findings was that only 12 percent of respondents checked the "yes" box when asked if they had been hazed. Yet, when asked about specific activities they were asked to engage in when they joined the team -- everything from physical abuse to forced consumption of alcohol to wearing embarrassing clothes -- 79 percent said they had been subjected to what the authors deemed questionable or unacceptable hazing.

I never was on a varsity team but I wonder how this kind of behavior occurs and how it is being encouraged. Are coaches turning a blind eye or actively encouraging it themselves?

First the town tried to get the kid's father fired (both the parents are teachers) for the horrific crime of... saying "vagina" during a sex ed lesson. http://www.eastidahonews.com/2016/03/idaho-teacher-tries-to-move-forward-after-sex-ed-complaint/

When that didn't work they assaulted their son.
