Trump on Clinton: 'I can be nastier than she ever can be'

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump is turning up the heat on his attacks against Hillary Clinton about her husband's past infidelities after a rocky week for his campaign.

"She's nasty," Trump told The New York Times in an interview published Friday night, "but I can be nastier than she ever can be."

The comments were part of a wide ranging interview in which Trump also touched upon his marriages, his recent late-night Twitter rant and his performance at the first presidential debate.

"Hillary Clinton was married to the single greatest abuser of women in the history of politics," Trump told The Times. "Hillary was an enabler, and she attacked the women who Bill Clinton mistreated afterward. I think it's a serious problem for them, and it's something that I'm considering talking about more in the near future."

Trump has had decades of practice being an asshole. I'm not sure how he thinks this helps him get elected, but he is much nastier and more dispicable than anyone who's run for president since George Wallace.

That is entirely the point right now. Clinton is using a form of political jujitsu that only an amateur would fall for. Trump is not a politician and has had a lifetime of positive results from always going on the attack.

This time though the optics really, really suck and they will just keep getting worse.

The right wing media machine have spent over two decades turning Clinton into some sort of Boogieman/Shiva hybrid that everyone that listens and watches (Fox) instinctively reviles on a basic, lizard brain level.

Trump is rendering that almost inoperative. Before he is finished people that today revile her are going to start seeing her in a sympathetic light.

The core Trump support--the ultra authoritarians will eat up everything he spews. The more normal will find him so repellent that they'll vote for Clinton just to prevent him from ever occupying the Oval office.

said when he was advised by a listener to give the Republicans hell, "I never give them hell. I just tell the truth and they think it's hell."

And with Hillary, she is quoting Trump and he shrivels up in that like the Wicked Witch of the West who had water sprinkled on her by Dorothy.

Hillary is telling the truth and Dumpster (oh, I mean to say Trump) thinks it's hell.

Like a moth to the flame, it really seems that Trump will burn up -- I sure as hell hope so!

Why would you think anybody would care? Everybody in the world already knows this stuff - wow, what a revelation, Captain Obvious! Bill Clinton had an affair? We're shocked, we tells ya, shocked!

If "The Donald" brings this subject up, Hillary should pretend to stifle a yawn and then respectfully request that he return to the issues that are facing our country. I don't believe decades-old affairs are one of them.

Is it worth it to enlist in the Marines when our nation was attacked on 9/11? Is it worth it for the woman at Stanford to press charges relating to her rape when she knew she would be attacked as a slut?

I commend Hillary's courage in running for office and enduring this abuse from a person who enjoys being a bully.
