Ivanka not happy with campaign manager’s approach
Source: Chicago Sun-Times
A history of sexist comments about women may be dogging the Trump camp, but Sneed is told a female feud has erupted between Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of the Donald, and her fathers newest campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway.
At issue: Conway admitting on the The View she had chided and scolded Donald Trump over the recent female fallout.
The buck shot: Sneed is told Ivanka was irritated because she knew no one scolds her father, least of all Kellyanne Conway, a Trump insider said.
Ivanka is exceptionally concerned about her personal brand, the source said. Ivanka is a savvy businesswoman with a line of clothing, jewelry and shoes that she wants to protect; doesnt believe her father is sexist; and is not happy with Conways comments, the source added.

(14,853 posts)I've seen women on local news reports fight very nasty with each other, so it's not really something to be taken lightly.
Everyone knows that Ivanka and Kellyanne aren't going to come to blows anyway. I just hope they don't replace Kellyanne with a bigger sleazeball like Dick Morris.

I think they are going to find a huge hit to business. Their supporters may buy things for a while, but that will die down. The people they have offended will never forget.

(15,220 posts)The idea that a 30-something daughter would be making decisions about her father's staff is ridiculous. Now, before anyone chides me as to how the Trump kids are assets to their father's campaign, just think for a minute what the reaction would be were it Chelsea Clinton who was hiring and firing Secretary Clinton's campaign staff.
The Trump brats already supposedly picked Pence as the running mate. Fine by me, but way too much influence on their father in any kind of normal parent/child relationship.

(959 posts)because she's "pretty". She is her fathers daughter. Thinks like him, apparently does business like him, is willing to mix and mingle with deplorables like him. The "pretty" doesn't eliminate all the rotten traits lurking around in there. She knows exactly who and what her father is. And she doesn't care.

(48,955 posts)which is infinitely more tied to your brand than anything Conway says. And the hits to your brand and the family brand, are much more severe that come from your fathers words, actions, and history (now more documented than a week or two ago), than by the effectiveness of the campaign manager trying to give PR spin to soften the actions/words and history of your father's actions.
If you and your siblings could not temper his actions/words and history of actions, how do you expect someone who has only been involved for a few months to be more effective?
Your biggest problem per your brand - is that no one has been able to effectively scold your father (so that he changes behaviors.)
The campaign is business as usual for the Trump Family.
Kathy M
(1,242 posts)accountable . In this process hopefully people you and your family have stomped on will receive what is owed to them .
Ivanka is a sales person just like her father ...........
" Decades later copyright or not that name is truly a brand in its own right. Like her father, Ivanka is in the business of lending her name to a product and taking a small fraction of the profits sometimes a very small fraction.
And so Ivanka's job is not to make things; it is to sell them (and herself). The making is left to others others who may not be as aware as Ivanka is that the name Trump is "synonymous with the highest levels of quality, luxury, prestige and success."
In April, 20,000 Ivanka Trump-branded scarves made in China were recalled because of "burn risk," as they did not meet federal flammability standards.
And in June, the Italian shoe company Aquazzura sued Ivanka and her partners in her accessories business for copying its shoe designs.
"Upon information and belief, Defendants Ivanka Trump and her company IT partnered with Marc Fisher in or around 2010 to launch her eponymous footwear brand. Seeking the same success Aquazzura experienced but without having to put in the hard creative work, Defendants resorted to knocking off Plaintiff's popular designs," the plaintiffs wrote in their complaint."

(7,581 posts)Hey, Ivanka, news flash: Just because Daddy doesn't belittle you, out loud, doesn't mean he doesn't do so to others.
Ivanka should have her brand ruined. As we speak, a full 50% of women would never even CONSIDER buying anything from her. At some point, she needs to be an adult and stop defending Daddy.
And Kellyanne C made a deal with the devil. I despise her, but I do think she has put lipstick on his pig mouth a few times, and is a good spokesman for him. They would be nuts to get rid of her.
