GOP Senators: We could work with Hillary Clinton

Source: The Hill

Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) is predicting that congressional Republicans will be more willing to work with Hillary Clinton than they have been with President Obama, should she be elected president.

"Barack Obama was somewhat of an unknown – he was a senator, but only for a year-and-a-half before he was elected president. She is a known commodity, and I think there’ll be more camaraderie in terms of working together, than there might have been in the early days of Obama," Isakson told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Isakson, who is running for reelection and has endorsed GOP nominee Donald Trump, added, "I don’t think it will be like the post-Obama election at all."

Democrats have repeatedly blasted Republican tactics under the Obama administration, arguing that GOP senators have reached a record level of obstruction on legislation and nominations.

That would be a refreshing change from 8 years of "make the black guy's life miserable at all costs". The way Republicans treated Obama was like watching Blazing Saddles on repeat.

Get out the vote!

We need a landslide wave election.

If we can't do it against a Trump led ticket, we can't do it at all.

This is our chance.

I think Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) is feeling some heat right about now, trying to appeal to moderate democrats who may be giving him the nod, but might not real soon.

Out you all go over the next couple of decades. The GOP needs a long, silent generation in the wilderness, much like the one we've started in California. Everything just gets SO MUCH BETTER.

is that they know that Hilary will find ways to keep federal funding out of their state if they don't work with her. Lots of federal funding comes to Georgia. The giant new budget for zika will no doubt include funding for the CDC, as one example.

There's no way they'd work with Hillary, absolutely zero. They will obstruct, try to indict her, not let any laws pass, not approve any appts. (even if the candidate is Repug), keep SCOTUS at 8 justices for 4-8 years, etc, etc. Only way anything gets done is Senate goes to Dems and they pass rule for no filibusters on judicial appts.

They fought him so much the Senate broke all records of FILIBUSTERS!! You can't trust these lying scumbag republicons to do anything to help the country. Goddamn, I would love to see the Dems win back the Senate AND the House, but probably not in my lifetime.

I really never had a reason to hate anybody. But I have just realized that I loathe and despise Republicans for so many reasons. The most recent and compelling reason I have to loathe them is for the repelling and unqualified reality-show "star" they nominated to head their "party." We thought it was a travesty to see a B-movie "actor", Ronald Reagan, prance into the WH in 1980, but WHO in the hell could have imagined the current clown show?

What's seriously too fucking bad is that our nation has a very, very short memory. These asshats will be throwing around whatever claim to fame they fancy next time around, and they very well might win. NOBODY will remember this election unless the true Kool-Aid drinkers manage to PERMANENTLY hijack the Republican shit show and drive it off the cliff where it belongs.
