Hurricane Matthew: FL Gov. Won’t Extend Voter Registration Deadline

Source: Politic365

According to Miami Herald Tallahassee Bureau Chief Mary Ellen Klas, Florida Governor Rick Scott says he ‘will not extend’ the voter registration deadline. “Everybody has had a lot of time to register,” said the Governor.

Hurricane Matthew, a category 4 hurricane, is set to hit Florida on Friday. Republican Governor across the U.S. have seized on new voting laws that have put up hurdles in front of the voting booth.

In Haiti, hurricane Matthew was the worst natural disaster to hit the country since the massive 2010 earthquake. The hurricane has left at least 140 dead and Haiti’s presidential elections set for Sunday have been cancelled.

He may have been doing his job today, but I don't think he really believes in democracy.

That fascist wouldn't do a thing for the citizens unless he was forced with threat of prison, which is where he should be.

This clown was voted into office. How fucking dumb do the voters have to be to put people like him in office. Too bad the feds can't make extending the voter registration a condition for declaring Flori-duh a disaster area due to Hurricane Matthew.

I do not like Scott as a resident of fl, I think he is a crook and dork, but I have to give credit when it is due. He has been on TV for the the last four days telling people to get out of the danger zones, he has said he has the utilities company propositioned supplies and lined up surrounding utilities. He has lined up the corp of engineers and fema, along with the national guard. As much as I dislike him as Governor he is on top of this storm, which as I can say a lot of other governors did not do
