Donald Trump Tells Supporters At Florida Rally That Election Day Is November 28th
Source: Politics USA
At a rally in Panama City on Tuesday, Donald Trump urged his supporters to make sure theyre registered to vote by the Sunshine States registration deadline tomorrow and told them to go out and vote
on Nov. 28.
Yes, the Republican nominee even needs to be fact checked when it comes to accurately telling his supporters when Election Day is.
Theres never been anything like this, so go and register, make sure you get out and vote Nov. 28, the Republican nominee said.
Trumps misstatement came just after he was telling the crowd that the voter registration deadline in Florida was extended due to Hurricane Matthew.

(9,117 posts)That's the problem with not thinking for yourself or periodically running your assumptions through a reality check: you can find yourself in a pickle in short order. The appalling thing about the Trumpkins' attitudes towards their Fearless Leader is that they'll believe anything he says, and argument to the contrary is dismissed as "liberal propaganda."
November 28th is a GREAT voting day for Pro-Trump voters--after all, the Donald said so.

(113,257 posts)on which version you got) that, due to the large expected voter turnout, dems would vote (whatever that actual election date was) and pukes the next day. the puke version reversed it. some fools actually took it seriously.

(9,114 posts)bulletins from "The Franklin County Board of Elections", hung door hangers and posted fraudulent leaflets with that same info in low income city neighborhoods, in '04 Ohio.
It was covered both by Professor Mark C. Miller in Fooled Again (p. 32, hardbound) and the Conyers Report What Went Wrong In Ohio, (p. 56-57, paperback). All calls, notices, mailers, hangers stated that you can, or you must cast a ballot on Nov. 3 (Wed) instead of Nov. 2 (Tue.) It was one of a blizzard of tricks performed by bush rove repug operatives, Nate Sproul's little nazis, The Mighty Texas Strikeforce / True the Vote swine. And they performed each trick in that blizzard simultaneously.
There was nothing foolish about some poor, minority, and elderly people being intimidated and fooled by this move, niyad.

(9,114 posts)There is a wealth of info in those books about the wide variety of slimy moves they've successfully made in the past. They're not just going to threaten to send tRump militias to interfere with high Dem area turnouts, they're no doubt going to attempt the many other illegal things they've pulled before. Intimidation, false notices that child support owed means you can't vote, false statements that voters face felonies for voting if they're unsure they're allowed to vote, re-registration of Dem voters to other party affiliations and other precincts, etc.

(9,114 posts)I saw a vid 2 days ago with Dr. Kristi Winters and Kevin Logan from manosphere, on the second prez debate. They talked about Ezra Klein's piece on dRumpf threats to use the power of the state to go after his political opponents, like Putin does, or 3rd world dictators do, or Hitler did, or Nixon did. dRumpf saying "I am the state", and attempting a double jeopardy charge of his opponent. Seeking the power of a dictator, and asking his dictator pal Putin to use illegal means to investigate drumpf's political opponent. And his fans show they don't care about the Constitution any more than he does.
He's already like Nixon, running as a law and order candidate, with a racist southern strategy, will be the first prez candidate since Nixon to not release his tax returns, with the mob ties up the wazoo like Nixon. Threatening to use the gov to go after his enemies. Like Nixon.
Anyway, the Prof Winters and Logan pointed out that instead of locking up the political opposition, things went very differently when Nixon was charged with all kinds of felonies in Watergate, his opposition allowed him to be pardoned, and that pardon was good for the unity of the nation. It's ironic that the guy who's running like Nixon, and has so many Nixon style traits, is running as a repug on the idea of jailing the Dem opposition, when the Dems let Nixon stay out of jail, for "unity's" sake.
If we had jailed Nixon, the repugs wouldn't have been so emboldened to procede in their rightward charge. It's possible that Iran Contra may not have happened. Then maybe li'l bush might not have happened, then maybe drumpf would still be on wrestlmania, instead of threatening to start civil war with his emboldened pinhead followers. The repugs may have been prompted to be a tiny bit less treasonous.

(9,114 posts)Our side let it go, for the sake of 'national unity', just so happy he was out of power, and hadn't implemented martial law. So we instead got go be treated with photo ops, over and over again in the '80's, where Nixon posed with clowns in make up, to 'rehabilitate' his image. Instead of photo ops of him in Lewisburg, or Atlanta, or Leavenworth.
The repugs have run using the threatened sub-text of civil war, in every election since '68. Our side doesn't want to start one, their side always threatens one.
