Variety backs Hillary Clinton in first-ever presidential endorsement

Hillary Clinton can add another publication to her long list of endorsements. Variety has endorsed the Democratic presidential candidate, marking the first time the entertainment trade magazine has made a presidential endorsement in its 111-year history.

Variety acknowledged Clinton’s experience, temperament and her public service record “fighting for the rights of women, children, families, the disabled, farmers, veterans, and the LGBTQ community” in making its endorsement and called her “not only the best candidate for the job, but the only candidate.”

The "Boffo BO" one always made me laugh! That one got hauled out every so often after some movie's colossal opening weekend. "BO" stood for "box office."

me I should have said Prexy for Pres.
That was the old nickname for the title.
as in: Jones Exits As Par Prexy
Meaning, someone just lost their job as President at Paramount Studios

I was an entertainment reporter covering Hollywood for many years. I saw that stuff all the time. When the trades came in, at work, everybody crowded around Army Archerd's column.
