Judge Issues Restraining Order Against Trump Campaign to Prevent Voter Intimidation
Source: Mother Jones
In a surprise ruling, a US district judge in Ohio issued a restraining order against Donald Trump's campaign to prevent anyone working on the campaign from harassing and intimidating voters at the polls on Tuesday.
The order came after a two-hour hearing in which the judge pressed Trump's lawyer to justify the candidate's inflammatory rhetoric about voter fraud. It also applies to close Trump adviser Roger Stone, who has organized poll-watching activities, and the "officers, agents, servants, and employees" of Trump and Stone.

There were processes in place long before this court ruling; and this ruling makes it much easier since any disruption is in violation of the court order. Half of the legal battle is won.
If anyone witnesses intimidation, find your Democratic observer and report it. We'll handle the rest.

Send them to electoral boards. Shooting video even better...get their asses thrown in jail for federal voting violation laws.

It has been in force since about 1982.

(17,175 posts)I'm sure it will be extended, because I think the GOP are constitutionally incapable of playing by the rules at this moment in history. But even if the decree is extended, they might still violate it at pleasure.

(260 posts)I'm an election judge in Illinois and I know the rules. ANYONE can challenge your right to vote by claiming you aren't who you say you are, so I would advise you all to bring ID, a utility bill or whatever to foil their dirty tricks.
In this state, your signature is all that's required.
