Senator Al Franken accuses Donald Trump of launching antisemitic TV ad

Source: The Guardian

The Democratic senator for Minnesota, Al Franken, has accused Donald Trump of launching an antisemitic TV advertisement along the lines of the fake Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Franken, who is Jewish, said he immediately was struck by what he called “a German shepherd whistle, a dog whistle” in a new two-minute advert from the Trump campaign, launched as the countdown to Tuesday’s election intensifies.

The film features lurid shots of Wall Street and the Federal Reserve interspersed with images of three prominent Jewish people: Janet Yellen, who chairs the Fed, the progressive financier George Soros and the Goldman Sachs chief executive, Lloyd Blankfein.

“The establishment has trillions of dollars at stake in this election,” Trump is heard saying in the advert. “For those who control the levers of power in Washington and for the global special interests, they partner with these people that don’t have your good in mind.”

not much of a sports fan, tho raised a cub fan. 30 years w a sox fan, including season tickets for the trophy years, but remain pretty blissfully ignorant of sports since his happy departure.

but for my mom, and because she shared her love of the cubs w her dad, who scored the games so he could tell her what happened when she got home from school, i enjoyed the series, especially that last one.
and my sister snuck a handful of mom's ashes into the parade and celebration.

and it never hurts to see my city so happy.

and you are most welcome.

I am fully convinced there are some people who have absolutely made it their goal to revive that whole 'master race' nightmare.

And as in the past, if you take a look at the people who are leading this movement, their own genetic material seems to fall far short of their ideal. I won't even go into what I think of the followers.

for any human being to be such an astonishingly churlish, deceitful, egomaniacal, racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, cheating, hypocritical bully and still have millions of Americans think not only is that cool, but that this astonishingly churlish, deceitful, egomaniacal, racist, xenophobic, misogynistic, cheating, hypocritical bully ought to be our president.

Honestly, it's the support that is so utterly incomprehensible.

This is a man who started his campaign by branding Mexicans, and by inference other Latinos, as being rapists and drug dealers.

The man is vile, completely unworthy of the presidency.

I will have lost all faith in the inherent goodness of this country if this sack of feces is elected president.

None too subtle reminder of the"blood libel" anti Semitic trope that caused countless deaths and pogroms around Easter when Jews would be accused of killing Christian children and bleeding them dry and using their blood to make Passover matzah.
