The Latest: Autopsy finds man died from gunshot to back

Source: Associated Press

Updated 4:57 pm, Friday, November 25, 2016

CHICAGO (AP) The Latest on two fatal police shootings in Chicago (all times local):

4:55 p.m.

An autopsy has determined a 19-year-old man fatally shot by a Chicago police officer died from a gunshot wound to the back.

The Cook County medical examiner's office included that finding, for which it provided no details, in its daily case ledger Friday.

Police didn't immediately identify the man shot during a foot chase Wednesday night. Relatives have identified him as Kajuan Raye of Dolton.

Raye's cousin is disputing police statements he was armed. Police say a sergeant opened fire when the man pointed a gun at him, but a weapon hasn't been found at the shooting scene.

I can see in some cases how that could happen but that aside the lack of finding the alleged weapon is making the shooting look completely unjustified.

a lot of money. On the same note if I had a nickel for everytime a relative on this site said their son, daughter, wife, or husband was one of the good cops I'd have more money. B/C your own can't be bad cops until they are recorded being bad cops..

Which was very disturbing. NYC cops were protecting a high level distributor where they gave his deliveries a police escort and when someone robbed him he had the cops pick him up and deliver to him which the distributor said when asked what happened to him, "He's not around anymore."

The cop Michael Dowd said to the Mollen Commission that a "good" cop was one that never turned in another cop, a "bad" cop was one who ratted or talked to supervisors.
