"Based on the little information we know at this point, I have concerns about this incident and feel this decision is in the best interest of the Department and the people of Chicago as we await a methodical and impartial investigation into exactly what transpired," said CPD Supt. Eddie Johnson said in a statement Saturday.

Officers say Raye turned and pointed a gun at them, twice. The second time, they shot and killed him.

The frightening issue in this event is we have to depend totally on the Chicago investigation and accept their results. I seriously doubt any appeals to the Con's AG will go unanswered.

I would say the police might need to charged especially in light of the fact that no weapon has been recovered.
