Trump calls it sad that Clinton joining recount effort

Source: The Globe & Mail

Published Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 3:07PM EST

In a reprise of campaign-season rancour, Donald Trump and his lieutenants are assailing an effort – now joined by Hillary Clinton – to recount votes in up to three battleground states, calling the push fraudulent, the work of “crybabies” and, in the president-elect’s estimation, “sad.”

And as Trump worked to fill foreign policy and national security posts in his Cabinet, a top adviser expressed astonishment that 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney remained under consideration for secretary of state after his campaign-long questioning of Trump’s character, intellect and integrity.

<snip>

Clinton leads the national popular vote by close to 2 million votes, but Trump won 290 electoral votes to Clinton’s 232, not counting Michigan. She could conceivably tip the electoral balance in the remote event that all flipped to her in recounts.

Trump claimed in a tweet Sunday, without any evidence, that “I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.” He further asserted the unknowable in saying that if the popular vote determined the presidency, “It would have been much easier for me to win” it because he would have altered his campaign to pile up overall vote totals, not Electoral College votes.

....neither side should fear a recount.

In fact, recounts should be automatic in a case such as this where one side won the popular vote so decidedly and the other just squeaked by in the electoral college fiasco.

if the margins are within 1 or 2%, but election laws vary by state. According to my county registrar, they do "Manual recount of ballots from a random 1% sample of precincts to ensure that vote tabulation equipment is working accurately" as a matter of course, no matter how lopsided a win may be. I like transparency in my government.

Trump and his team mastered the art of putting a hand-puppet up to distract the media and everyone else while doing real stuff during those distractions. His game and their game have not or will not change ... sure be nice if the media caught on to this and quit normalizing this crap. It is not normal, it is dangerous ... the media should do its damn job (too bad it won't), sigh.

The story changes day-to-day.

This is a process of confusion ---> conversion IMO.

Very dangerous indeed! Take nothing for granted when those at the helm of power are endorsed by the likes of David Duke and the KKK. To ignore these facts of Nazism is to be a fool.

To join them is an even bigger error and one that cannot be undone.

Best advice is to stay far away from all parties involved in creating this chaos only to assist in overall control of the masses.

Scared you ask? Damn right!

And I bet the justice department, the NSA, CIA and parts of the FBI know this and I hope it blows up in his face. I do think though Obama does not want to be the one to expose this.
