White House: 'No Evidence' To Support Trump's Illegal Voting Claims

Source: TPM: Matt Shuham Nov 28, 2016

Speaking to reporters Monday, White House press secretary Josh Earnest was asked about Donald Trump’s false claim this weekend that he would have won the popular vote in the presidential election “if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally.”

Earnest responded that he would “defer to the President-elect’s team for commentary on his tweets,” but that “as an objective fact, there has been no evidence produced to substantiate a claim like that.”

Trump provided no proof for his claim ..................

1. It's sad that an outgoing administration has to smack the incoming one with the truth like this.

Or, the ones with the slimmest margin? Or, were these swing states?

4. These eleven states are those with the lowest number of Trump votes.

There are 2.6 million mean votes per state, 1.25 for Hillary, 1.22 for Trump.

In rough numbers, Clinton's win nearly equals both the Dem and Republican votes in an average state.

Not sure how he can simultaneously attack recount efforts while insisting that there is rampant voter fraud.

6. How would a recount weed out these votes?

Not to stick up for Trump, and I'm all for a recount, but if a vote was cast illegally, how could that, in any way, be determined or fixed in a recount?

...to voter registration signatures if you think they are fraudulent and look for double votes or incidents of double votes being cast. This is how they caught the Trump voter who tried to vote twice in Michigan. After all, the only people who can vote are folks who are registered to vote, so for what you would need to prove is that there is an inside job where elections officials are somehow passing on information to non-citizens to vote in place of registered voters who did not vote AND have these folks forge the signatures of such registered voters. If over a million people have done this, then it should be fairly easy to weed this out, because how are you going to mastermind a million well forged signatures while also somehow avoiding the real registered voter from noticing? You should be able to find a million registered voters who were somehow prevented from voting because a non-citizen claiming to be them, voted in their name. If Trump is right, this should be like shooting fish in a barrel.

And why do you believe doing tens of millions of signature comparisons would be "easy". Strictly to my point, though, how is any of this part of any state's standard recount process?

9. Why is he not addressing voter suppression?

That is the real problem here. They "stole" it by disallowing the votes of thousands, certainly enough to be within the margin of victory in several states. And they will only continue.

As an ex-President, Obama could have a platform for addressing these issues.
