GOP rejoices over Pelosi win

Nancy Pelosi had some unlikely fans celebrating her re-election as House minority leader Wednesday — loads of Republicans.

Republicans — including members of President-elect Donald Trump’s team — gloated over Pelosi’s sweeping election over Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, Wednesday. But it wasn’t because they think she’s a good choice for Democrats, in fact, it’s the opposite.

Pelosi has led Democrats in the House since 2003. She became the first female House speaker in 2007 and then returned to her role as minority leader in 2011 after the Democrats were swept out in the 2010 election. While she’s a very successful party fundraiser, she’s also been blamed for her role in the Democrats massive losses during the 2016 election.

Before the election, the National Republican Congressional Committee trolled Pelosi. “No single person deserves more credit for House Republicans’ historic majority than Nancy Pelosi,” NRCC Communications Director Katie Martin said in a statement. “Under Nancy Pelosi’s leadership, House Democrats have become completely irrelevant.”

31 Governorships with only 18 controlled by the Dems. That's where the gerrymandering occurs that gives the Rethugs its huge advantage in the House; and there's almost nothing Pelosi can do about that.

Okay, I feel a bit better now.

They can propose amendments with a 2/3 vote, but to ratify an amendment they need 3/4 of the states.

That's why the Equal Rights Amendment failed to pass.

and as soon as the democratic base wake's up to this little fact, the better.

This country is in trouble because of 31 states are under the control of the republicans, and in my opinion they want to get there slimy hands on the Constitution, they then can go line by line.
Just imagine them taking a pen and going after the pre-amble and start gutting words like promote general welfare:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.


all it takes is 37 states to ask for a convention............................

It should be quite worrisome on what the right wingers are trying to do by capturing states and the control of these states. Six is not very many and with the advent of outright political corruption of them taking over states by the voter suppression tactics that these fascist incorporate, we need to take back this country.
They want access to the Constitution, that is there end game in this chess game, that I was using for an example. Have you ever played the game of Risk, I look at the right wing republicans just like that game, they are nothing more than frauds with a scam.


As for the name turbinetree: Take note, the turbine blade is a wing and is designed as a wing for proper airflow into the engine, to achieve maximum pressure into the by-pass and into the compressor and hot section of the engine. When you hear for instance GE90, that means the turbine is capable of producing over 90,000 lbs of thrust or 90,000 horses of power.
The space shuttle and it's engines produced this much power to weight ratio :

Take a look at picture C in this below post, take a look at the bottom of the blade, notice how it looks like a tree.
That is called the turbinetree

Depending on the engine each and all blades are interlocked together by the bottom tree around the shaft of the turbine section, compressor section, hot section.

Each blade is weighed in pairs in accordance to the mass of that blade, and the blade on the opposite side (perpendicular) of the shaft must be within a certain tolerance of weight with its weighted pair blade to have balance on the shaft, you cannot just put these blades randomly around that shaft, if it was done like that the vibration of the shaft will cause failure of the engine.

When you disassemble the turbine you must number the blades and put them back on the shaft the same way to took them off, when you do a fan blade lube on that tree of the compressor, hot section is the same but you use a different compound material that can with stand the forces on the blade and the hot section of the turbine.

This is why you test an engine they fire a five pound frozen chicken into the engine, water, ice conditions so that when you have a catastrophe failure, just like in the movie Sully, the engine does not just blown up, it must be able to take that vibration and to be able to have the core handle the damage to maintain flight.

I love airplanes, and worked in the industry for over 35 years, even helped do a little work on the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
Have worked on every major turbine powered aircraft that has been flown from the DC-8 all the way up too the B747-400 and Airbus aircraft.

My favorite Aircraft was and still is the B-757-200/300

Everything that you have today was because of the airplane in some shape or form everything, and everything you have today some how or some way came from the engineering from space, flat screen tv, anti-lock brakes, windshield protection, tires, cd's, medicine

Horseshit! I'm so tired of the Monday morning quarterbacking (and it's arguments), it's pathetic! Ellison and Sanders are going to be in control of the DNC, we're moving forward. Nancy has many benefits that will prove useful in these next two years. Now, come house of 2018, that's a different story.

Gerrymandered districts are not Nancy's fault, so let's stop flogging her for it.
