The Latest: Trump aide says Clinton email probes may persist

Source: Associated Press

-snip-

A top aide to President-elect Donald Trump says law enforcement officials in his administration might continue investigations into Hillary Clinton’s private email, even though Trump has signaled he prefers not to pursue the matter.

Kellyanne Conway was Trump’s campaign manager. Conway said Friday Trump still prefers not to pursue a case against Clinton. But she says law enforcement officials and Congress “may take a look at that.”

Speaking on ABC’s Good Morning America, Conway said the Justice Department, Congress and the FBI could still review Clinton-related inquiries.

She spoke in response to “lock her up” chants that greeted Trump during a rally Thursday. During the campaign, Trump said he would have his attorney general appoint a special prosecutor to review the Clinton inquiries.

With Hillary's server, a few classified docs were emailed to/from staff who held all the proper clearances to see them.

With Petraeus, he knowingly handed over classified documents to his mistress, whom he knew full well was not cleared to see them.

An independent Department of Justice does not pursue investigations until the president and his campaign achieve the desired outcome they want.

Is there any doubt that Comey would have recommended charges if the evidence took him there?

And now that the FBI, and WikiLeaks, and the Congressional committees all shut up about Hillary, is there any doubt they accomplished their purpose as Republican leadership and the Corrupt One himself pointed out and asked for repeatedly?

Putting Hillary Clinton in jail might be the one achievable thing that Trump can do, and the controversy might distract from his efforts to fleece taxpayers in other areas. Plus, given that Trump and his cronies have pretty much made clear that this is their goal, she should leave the country to avoid political persecution.

Wed Dec 7, 2016, 05:08 AM

I'm not talking just the popular vote now; did he actually lose in three of the five <5% margin of victory states but use illegal methods to "win" - methods that a recount would uncover?

If the recounts flip even one state to Hillary, we need to recount EVERY STATE HE WON. And if enough states flip to Hillary to send her to the White House, I want Trump's entire entourage in a maximum security federal penitentiary for at least ten years. (On edit: except for Melania. I want her work record reviewed, and if it turns out she was working here illegally strip her citizenship, deport her and her son, and charge Trump with harboring an illegal immigrant. I want this man's name so thoroughly ruined, people will start calling the smelly brown stuff stuck to the bottom of their shoes "dogtrump" rather than "dogshit.&quot
