Elon Musk joins Donald Trumps advisory council after criticising President-elect

Source: The Independent

Elon Musk has joined Donald Trump’s advisory council despite having dismissed Mr Trump as “not the right man for the job” during the election.

The President-elect’s transition team announced the appointment of the Telsa executive alongside Travis Kalanick, the chief executive of Uber, on Wednesday.

Musk’s appointment comes weeks after he warned the election is not “the finest moment in our democracy in general”.

He was unconcerned about how the billionaire business magnate’s ascension to the White House would affect Telsa, but told CBC he believed Hillary Clinton’s economic and environmental policies were “the right ones”. Mr Trump was elected four days later.

With Trump's ties to the oil industry, Elon has to secure the future of his businesses.

in the same room? Making decisions? We are doomed.

Oh, but wait... Those two egos in a same space may just combust, ridding the world of both of them at the same time.

would have been worse off without Albert Speer. Elon seems to have some evolved ethics compared to most other billionaires. Seems a good thing. Any shining object in our dark future, I'll take.

Everyone that opposes evil is on the right side of history. Albert Speer was a fame whore. Now so is Musk. How many Jews or political prisoners did Mr. Speer save? Billionaires stick together. Every day I get more sick of this country.
