12 year-old boy attempts nail bombing in Ludwigshafen Christmas market, City Hall

Source: Euro News

A 12 year old German-Iraqi boy suspected of having links to ISIL has been detained in Ludwigshafen, Germany, it has been revealed on Friday, for failing to detonate a nail bomb first in a Christmas market and then near to the city’s City Hall.

On Nov. 26, the boy reportedly set down a backpack containing a bomb he made using fireworks and sparklers in the city’s Christmas market.

After the bomb failed to ignite, a passer-by on Dec. 5 noticed the boy hiding the bomb-laden backpack in a bush near the City Hall and informed police.

A bomb-disposal team disposed of the bomb. Police reports describing the incident say the boy’s intended bomb was flammable but not explosive. The bag in which it was found was also filled with nails.

I sure hope they're investigating his family. He wasn't born filled with hatred and the desire to murder innocents.

did we kill in Iraq? How many families faced tragedy because of errors and "friendly fire", being called "collateral damage"? You don't think some of those families are looking for a little pay back? Germany is an ally of ours.

I don't give a stinky shit if the 12 year old became an orphan. It doesn't justify trying to blasting innocent people in the name of some sky god and his "prophet".

but sometimes actions have consequences. Is it right? No. As long as we and our allies keep killing innocent people (I'm sorry, I guess in the "civilized" world we call that collateral damage so we can sleep at night) abroad, the chance of further attacks is increased. Those people are in Germany because our military intervention have made Iraq a hell hole.

What we did and Iraq ?

"Blasting innocent people"

I don't care who you are, how can you not feel for a 12-year-old boy being orphaned in an illegal war waged by the United States?

I am saying it is not always the parents. Sometimes good people have shit head kids. Sometimes the actions of our government and military has consequences. Not everyone just sits back and takes it, and as long as we keep killing innocent people overseas, we will stand the chance of future retaliation.

If I punched you in the face, and then you punch me back in the face, only one of us is the aggressor, and only one of us is the victim

Even though we both committed the same exact act , One was done and aggression, the other done in defense

It would seem any terrorist attack would be targeting the nation of Germany , not specific people

When Al Qaeda struck the World Trade Center , I'm sure they wernt targeting Ralph and Betty on the 24th floor

It was an attack on the USA , not specific civilians , like most terror attacks, the people pay the price for the crimes of the state

You've got to be taught
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.
You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade,
You've got to be carefully taught.
You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You've got to be carefully taught!
