McCaskill is early target of conservative ad campaign

Source: St Louis Public Radio

Less than two months after president-elect Donald Trump won in November, some of his allied groups are zeroing on U.S. Senate Democrats like Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri.

She’s among 10 Democrats in the Senate who represent so-called “red states” where Trump won big – and who will be on the 2018 ballot.

A new TV ad is airing on cable stations in the St. Louis and Kansas City markets this week that seeks to pressure McCaskill to support Trump’s agenda, notably his calls for tax cuts and his promise to repeal the health-insurance program known as Obamacare.

“A new President. A new chance for change. With a plan that will unleash economic growth,” the 30-second spot says.

We watch little or no major network tv, but this stupid ad ran during the freaking Polar Express while our little boy was snuggled up on the couch watching. I was so pissed. Never seen post election ads like this. I think they'll back fire. People are sick of this garbage.

And, I'm going to call Senator Tester's office and ask him to obstruct anything and everything these swamp creatures propose.

"ask him to obstruct anything and everything these swamp creatures propose.". I understand it but I I just can't agree with taking the same action the GOP took with Obama.
No, I am not saying you need to support all the legislation they propose but rather if by some miracle they propose something that actually makes sense that you should consider supporting it as should every lawmaker.
Mind you given we are discussing the GOP the odds of any legislation they propose actually being good for the country are going to be worse than the odds of winning a Powerball jackpot.

I talked to her on the phone before the 2012 election, and she said flat out that the stupid utterances of her opponent gave her a new six year lease on a Senate seat that she was not expecting to hold on to. She didn't suck up to any Republican ass then, and probably won't now, either. Akin wouldn't done squat for Missouri, and their voters realized it last time.

and get started early. I know here in PA, the Toomey PACs started early and ran mega amounts of ads (TV and radio) often this past election season. Casey is up in 2018 and we need to hold that seat and re-build the county-by-county Democratic infrastructure, targeting those "close" and newly-flipped Trump counties, like Erie.

Claire has pissed me off several times especially during the last election cycle when she blasted Senator Sanders. That hurt his chances with the ESTABLISHMENT Dems. I could see that I will be supporting here in 2018 only to keep an asshole republicon tea bagger out or the Senate! There are too many now. Claire can handle herself so I think the Republicons are barking up the wrong tree. They will hit Manchin hard and he may well turn RED to keep his job. So let's hope Claire has her game face on and starts politikin right now!!!

This kind of post attacking Ds, creates DIVISION in our D party. Divide works very well for Rs and cost Ds the last election.

Sure, she's the perfect Blue Dog that the corporately-controlled DNC would accept. But it would be fascinating to watch her debate the mango-faced, puny-fingered fart blossom in four years. Especially when the nation will likely be on fire...

We know Trump is going to be an absolutely terrible president. If he's terrible enough to depress Republican turnout, she might just be able to eke out a win. Otherwise, she's toast. Being up for reelection in a mid-term year in a solid red state is not remotely favorable to her chances.

a lot of it depends on her opponent, there could be a bitter Repuke primary between Ann Wagner and some tRumper, tRump out performed Pappa Blunt while other states like WI and PA, the Repukes that won out performed tRump
