(TMZ) TMZ is reporting that actress Carrie Fisher suffered a massive heart attack on an airplane.

They say that she was on a flight from London to LAX when she went into cardiac arrest and people on the plane had to perform CPR on her.

Paramedics rushed the actress to a nearby hospital after the plane landed, according to TMZ.

USA Today is reporting that the actress is in critical condition.

I work in healthcare, and if she went into cardiac arrest, especially on an airplane, she probably suffered from hypoxia and may very well have significant brain damage should she even survive which sounds doubtful at this point.

12. LA Times said there were nurses on the flight

who cared for her, but that she had been found "unresponsive" just before landing. It makes me think that she looked like she was taking a nap. Probably when the flight attendant tried to wake her for the landing she was unresponsive.

Carrie Fisher 'out of emergency' after reported heart attack on flight to LA

The actor Carrie Fisher reportedly suffered a heart attack on Friday, on a flight to Los Angeles from London.

Her brother, Todd Fisher, told the Associated Press she was “out of emergency” and stabilized at a Los Angeles hospital. He said he could not discuss any other details about what happened.
