RNC dismisses controversy over Christmas press release

Source: MSN/NY Daily News

The Republican National Committee spent Christmas afternoon defending a press release that many interpreted as the political party deeming President-elect Donald Trump a king.

In a holiday message sent out by the GOP, Reince Priebus, the outgoing RNC Chairman and incoming chief of staff, wished a "Merry Christmas to all!"

"Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King," the message said. "We hope Americans celebrating Christmas today will enjoy a day of festivities and a renewed closeness with family and friends."

The note, however, quickly prompted questions on social media, with many recipients wondering whether the GOP was referring to Trump as the "new King."

RNC - "Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King." Once again, Republicans are hailing Donald Trump as a new God King.

The obvious pandering to the "Xtians" is nauseating. All these religious zealots 'praise the Lord' and all their talk about the baby Jeebus, they are still frightening and stupid. They will lead the lemmings off the cliff crying out for Armageddon and the return of the Messiah.

The crap this press secretary chins out will have these morons speaking in tongues any minute now and will be completely oblivious to what is real happening to them.

we all know how some kings have ended up...quite delusional, mostly hated by their citizens, frightened, paranoid, hiding from every voice they hear in their heads. Some even perused by their own families to take their positions.

They are the ones that alluded to Trump as Christ - it's up to US to remind them that (a) we don't have kings in America and (b) Trump is a third rate hack about rule in a RNC dictatorship wet dream.

I'm not sure Rancid Penis and Crackwhore Kelly can disappear this with a wave of the regal hand.

Their holiday message has the Magi arriving to see baby Jesus the night he was born. WRONG. If they read the Bible they claim to follow, they would know it took the Magi 12 more days and nights to arrive.

Hello Republicans? Ever hear of Epiphany?

Obviously not.

Fake Biblical news (R) is not OK.
