David Cameron tipped for NATO secretary general

Source: Daily Mail

DAVID Cameron is being lined up for the role of NATO secretary general, it has been claimed.

The former Prime Minister and Witney MP is believed to be the British candidate with the best chance of getting Europe's top defence job, the Daily Mail reports.

The secretary general is the leader of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) staff and chairman of the defence alliance's highest decision-making body, the North Atlantic Council.

The current secretary general is Jens Stoltenberg, the former Prime Minister of Norway. He took office on October 2014 and is expected to leave in either 2018 or 2019.

The epic failure that is David Cameron as head of NATO, as Putin's useful idiot sits in the White House and tears down the Western alliance. My oh my.

The extremist takeover of UK politics happened on his watch, thanks to his poor leadership.

Although it won't be long before Theresa May is shown to be even worse.

Cameron, Britain's weakest Prime Minister since Neville Chamberlain? Cameron, who convinced the voters that he was a safer pair of hands than Miliband, and then was intimidated by some of his own party members into gambling his country's entire future, lost the gamble, and ran away? Yes, that's the person whom we need to lead NATO at a time when parts of the world are up in flames, Britain has isolated itself on a desert island, the Far Right are on the march, and the world's biggest store of nukes is in the hands of American Psycho, and its next biggest store in the hands of the Russian Godfather.

In other words, more jingoistic blathering from nationalist airheads. Also note that the same article says the sec-gen position won't even be open for another year or two, and Cameron certainly wouldn't be the only candidate (possibly not even the only British candidate) when it is.

Who are reporting this as Cameron was MP for nearby Witney and as such this does kinda count as local news for them, even it's based on Daily Fail tittle tattle.

Has he even served in any military? Ever fired a gun? He's famous for running into Libya, running out of bullets, and then calling Obama for help. That's why Obama called him a "freerider". He also engineered the Brexit debacle.

Terrible choice.
