Source: Reuters
China will "take off the gloves" and take strong action if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump continues to provoke Beijing over Taiwan once he assumes office, two leading state-run newspapers said on Monday.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal published on Friday, Trump said the "One China" policy was up for negotiation. China's foreign ministry, in response, said "One China" was the foundation of China-U.S. ties and was non-negotiable.

(26,224 posts)or maybe even recordings of his making backroom deals with Russia to secure Russian assistance during the election and the Chinese do have the capability to secure such information maybe even more so than Russia since China could easily embed hidden software in so much of the electronics it makes.

With all these border disputes, Beijing has backed themselves into a corner. If they give in, they lose face. If they don't give in, they risk a war over rocks.

(10,597 posts)... earlier this evening pumping up the scenario concerning the NATO soldiers on the Russian borders "antagonizing" Putin and it turning into a nuke situation.
I say it will be some trouble in the South China Sea. Not a war, or anything that would make the area impassible for 1/5th of the World's trade. Something, but I don't know what.
All I know is they ARE rattling the sabers, before they get in office. GWB at least waited a couple months into his 1st term before he had Colin Powell pre-warning the world of what was to come.

The reports of him being borderline illiterate are coming out from the "Apprentice" producers, as well as how much of a total idiot he is.
No, we are in big trouble.
