Kellyanne Conway Invents Fake Massacre
Source: The Daily Beast
During an appearance on Chris Matthews Hardball on Thursday night, Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trumps former campaign manager and now an adviser in his administration, appeared to make up a fictional massacre when justifying the Presidents ban on refugees and immigrants from seven majority-Muslim countries.
I bet its brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre, Conway said during an exchange on the program. Most people dont know that because it didnt get covered.
The media didnt cover the Bowling Green Massacre because no such event ever happened.
What Conway was likely referring to was an incident in 2011 in which two Iraqi nationals were indicted for allegedly having ties to IED (Improvised Explosive Device) attacks against U.S. troops in Iraq.
* * *
There is no information about the men having committed violent offenses in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Conways reference to a ban from Obama likely alludes to a review of vetting procedures for individuals coming from Iraq which did occur in 2011 as a result of the Bowling Green arrests. It was not a ban though.

(90,630 posts)I was on one, I assume the first. When I saw the damn thing was still up after an indecent interval, I alerted on it myself for incivility. I don't know why it took two juries to decide that c*** is not an acceptable descriptor even for Kellyanne.
Just checked the timeline. Your post was 5 hours after mine. Did it take a third jury? I mean, DU?

[font size=3] Perhaps it was an alternative massacre?
Kellyanne Conway, a senior counselor to President Trump, appeared to concoct a fake "massacre" while justifying Trump's controversial executive order on immigration during a Thursday night interview.
"I bet it's brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre," Conway told MSNBC's Chris Matthews. "Most people don't know that because it didn't get covered."
Social media users were quick to point out that the supposed "massacre" didn't get any media coverage because it never actually happened.

(612 posts)It's amazing how often he interrupts his guests, just as they're getting to the heart of what they're trying to say. But when it comes to KA Conway, he lets her drone on and on, fabricating and twisting reality to fit her bizarre narrative. I used to enjoy his show, but not any more, unfortunately.

(1,570 posts)When will they start creating news articles to support there "facts?"
"And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed if all records told the same tale then the lie passed into history and became truth. Who controls the past, ran the Party slogan, controls the future: who controls the present controls the past. And yet the past, though of its nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true from everlasting to everlasting."
"The past, he reflected, had not merely been altered, it had been actually destroyed. For how could you establish even the most obvious fact when there existed no record outside your own memory?"

He asked her a legitimate question, whether it would be true in her guy's administration that he wouldn't be able to appoint a Supreme Court Justice in his last year, two years, when? Then she just went on and on about a completely different subject - and that's when I yelled at the TV...

(1,089 posts)and I lasted two sentences. Within those two sentences I counted at least 3-4 blatant lies and I just could not stand to listen to that horrible woman anymore, so I missed this.
That's fine. She gives me physical pain on several levels. I can't stand people who look you in the eye and boldly lie with confidence over and over and over again, just daring you to call them out repeatedly. It feels to me like that's some sort of sickness. Her total lack of caring for the damage she's doing to humanity for the purpose of power and a paycheck disgusts me beyond my own level of belief. Her utter indifference to whomever she's spewing for that day for her money and power is disturbing. Her willingness to threaten people, the press, whatever, is just as fascist as the dumbass in the WH and is a verbal spear to the heart of our democracy, and she seems as though she couldn't care less about that.
I really think that this woman is evil to the core, and she's figured out how to manipulate the fucking moron with the nuclear codes.
I just cannot stand listening to her.

(22,048 posts)I was shocked when I came here this morning and started reading about a massacre in Bowling Green. I thought there must be another Bowling Green somewhere else in the world. Nope, its the one about 45 minutes south of here. Nice college town. But then I felt much better after seeing it was fake news from Conway.
Sheesh!
