Police Escort Congressman After Rowdy California Town Hall

Source: AP

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Feb 4, 2017, 5:54 PM

Congressman Tom McClintock, a Republican from California, faced a rowdy crowd at a packed town hall meeting in Northern California, and had to be escorted by police as protesters followed him shouting, "Shame on you!"

The Sacramento Bee reports (http://bit.ly/2k8fQHQ) that McClintock was constantly interrupted and booed as he defended his party's national agenda during the hourlong event Saturday in Roseville, the population center of his sprawling congressional district.
.............................

A video on the newspaper's website shows a crowd chanting "Shame on you!" as they follow McClintock who walks surrounded by police officers.

McClintock's district is solidly Republican and incorporates all or part of 10 counties spanning from Tahoe to Yosemite.

For many years, many of the less ideological (i.e. non-radicalized) Republicans thought that their contempt was directed solely against the poor, minorities, and academia - never to "average folks" like them.

They're now starting to realize that the Tom McClintocks of the world are only thinking of one thing: how big will my Newport Beach mansion be once I get out of office, and how much corporate butt do I have to kiss to get it.

I've had several unpleasant encounters with this incurious tool and flim-flam man, starting when he was the twenty-something young Republican pretty-boy from Southern California.

It wasn't just corporate butt he kissed, he was an enthusiastic butt kisser within the California Republican Party. He's probably still telling seventy and eighty year old California Republican toads their farts smell like perfume.

Right out of the Roman Empire, these people.

I never had the dubious honor of meeting McClintock; but I lived in Orange County for a few years and remember some of the church ladies fawning over "such a nice man."

as many Republicans as they possibly can. Never mind "holding them accountable". Simply take their power away.

Impeaching Trump will not stop the Republican fascism.

He started out in Ventura, and I see he is now in Roseville. He has been a anti-tax Republican politician his whole adult life, living ironically off the public trough.

A lot of 'Murikans who previously would vote 'puke without much awareness of the party's actual agenda...seem to be FINALLY waking up to the fact that the party is basically a scam to extract $$$ from the working and middle classes...and funnel it upwards.

Thanks, dump for providing the wake-up call.

P.S. Many shouts of "Liar!" are in there too. Tee hee!!!

P.P.S. Is there any footage from INSIDE the meeting? Would LOVE to see (and hear) THAT!!!

I carpooled with some to Sacramento. The dumbest people I ever met. Finally quit the job and moved back to the Bay Area. I have a friend who is a San Francisco local guy and he hates it there but his wife got a good paying job so they moved there. He comes back to the city often, he tells me to talk with sane people.

a friends party in that area. My friend told his local buddies that I'm a bay area libtard and hilarity ensued.

I've never encountered such rabid, racist, nasty, malicious people. My wife and I endured about four hours of non stop racist, homophobic, xenophobic remarks and unfriendly behavior. I've known some of these people; about a third of the people had moved there from the bay area. There must be something in the water.

My first waking thought the next morning at the motel was "I need to get a gun to protect me from those jerks." Never did get a gun.

The saving grace at that party was my friends mom, sisters, and a couple of old mutual friends. He and I are still friends (long and deep connection that's impossible to break) but I've never returned.

McClintock was the only candidate at that trumped up recall debate who attempted to discuss serious issues. but that's the only positive thing I know about him and that episode is now ancient history. Orange county capetbagging teabagger is on the surface.
