Report: Ex-Baylor president Ken Starr being eyed for role in Trump administration

Source: San Antonio Express-News.

By Nick Moyle, San Antonio Express-News Updated 6:56 am, Friday, February 10, 2017

Former Baylor president Ken Starr could join President Donald Trump’s administration. Foreign Policy reported that Starr is on a "shortlist" of candidates being vetted for ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom.

The position, which was created by the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 to promote freedom of religion and monitor religious persecution abroad, is expected to take a more prominent role under Trump.
A source told the magazine that the job is Starr’s “if he wants it.”

Other candidates include Ben Carson’s former “special faith advisor” Johnnie Moore, Jr. and human rights lawyer Nina Shea.

Starr served as Baylor’s president from 2010 to 2016. He was removed from that post after a law firm found within the university a troubling culture that disregarded, ignored and in some cases intimidated victims of on-campus sexual violence.

Prior to his tenure at Baylor, Starr was well known for the Starr Report, which preceded the impeachment of President Bill Clinton.

Ken Starr helped to cover up rapes, assualts, and God only knows what else in
order to protect the football program @ a "Christian School" and don't forget his
7 year 77 million $ + b.j. hunt.

He's gonna fit right in:

A snip:

So Starr is no longer the university’s president. To be sure, it’s a demotion of sorts. He was allowed to keep his Chancellorship, which he just relinquished, but he still gets to keep his Chair and Professorship at the Law School. One might think this is not a very harsh result, certainly not if Starr knowingly violated federal law, or by his deliberate indifference allowed serious criminal conduct to take place at the university he led.

Is this part of the Let's Make America Rape Great Again? Baylor University should be dissolved. What that football team did and the cover up was deplorable and everyone involved should be in jail including Ken Starr. Is this to make sure Starr has immunity?

up with nothing. The creep turned his head when young women at Baylor were being raped by their animal athletes because Baylor's reputation was more important than raped coeds. Now they want this asshole to be the ambassador for religious freedom. I literally hate these faux Christian hypocrites.

Starr would fit right in with the other Trump "basket of deplorables." They have worked hard to find people devoid of ethics, integrity and good judgment.

a living salary. That would spare him the embarrassment of having to migrate to Mexico, throw himself upon the socialist systems there, and survive on his retirement income from the USG and Baylor U. By making him America's Christian Ambassador, he can continue his parasitic sucking on us. His major duties will be to travel around the world and pray at banquets for Christians.

Due to what is going on at Baylor Ken Starr should not get any job in this administration. No one with Starr's record should be given a position in any administration. It seems Ken Starr allowed the Baylor football team to run wild during his time as President of Baylor University. It has been alleged that during his time at Baylor there was dozens of rapes and multiple gang rapes committed by members of the Baylor football team. It appears Starr did nothing to stop the bad behavior of the football team.
