Trump not planning to appeal travel ban ruling to Supreme Court

The Trump administration is not currently planning to appeal a temporary hold on his travel ban to the Supreme Court, a White House official said Friday.

But the White House said it will forge ahead on the broader battle against a lawsuit challenging the executive order.


The administration plans to continue its defense of the order on the merits, which is playing out in a Seattle-based federal district court, the official said.

that they wouldn't pursue it to the point that depositions and discovery would be involved. so we'll see.

an effort to avoid having the case go before SCOTUS before his guy gets into the spot, once he is in they will probably let it proceed as he will gamble that SCOTUS will side with him.

But I'm not sure they can write something that'll accomplish the end goals of this one, and not again face legal challenges.

It was a steady rally cry on the trail. He is regrouping and will come up with something just as unconstitutional.

If he was sure that he would win this case, he'd be appealing in a heart beat.
