Grammy-winning musician Al Jarreau dies at 76

Seven-time Grammy winner Al Jarreau has died. His passing comes two days after an announcement was made on his website that he was retiring from touring due to exhaustion.

Jarreau had been in a hospital in Los Angeles and was "slowly recovering," according to a statement posted on Thursday. He was 76.

that is really sad. I'll always remember his humming through live performances - he was so good and he had many imitators.

What a loss. He had such a unique voice. I had recently purchased the album he and George Benson did together. What a great collaboration.
