Al Franken says Trump's Russia Mess is Bigger than Flynn

WASHINGTON ― After President Donald Trumps national security adviser Michael Flynn was forced to resign over his contacts with Russia, Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) is arguing that the Senate needs to know a lot more about all of the Trump administrations ties to Vladimir Putins government.

Flynn quit after reports surfaced that he talked repeatedly to the Russian ambassador to the United States about the sanctions levied against Russia, which Flynn had denied.
That lie is the first problem for Franken.

The National Security Advisor is entrusted with making sure the President has the best possible information to defend us from foreign threats and protect our country, Franken said in a statement. Gen. Michael Flynn was clearly not the right person for that job.

Trump either knew and lied to cover it up OR he ordered Flynn to do it and lied to cover it up.

2. Am absolutely crazy for Franken!

He is on fire -- and has the FACTS. His inner Wellstone is coming on strong, and I love it.

He now has some "gravitas" after toning down his previous career as a comedic actor.

He was the reason I got satellite radio so many years ago, when I lived in a red state desert , starved for sanity with an edge during the Bush Devastation. His show on that now defunct Air America got me through. The best of that station, including Randy Rhodes and the others.

He is so damn smart and thoughtful.

He is still too parsimonious with appearances on MSM, but hope that is strategic before launching for the Big Gig.

Would love a Franken/Klobuchar ticket - but from the same state, darn it.

8. Same here. The main reason I got Satellite - living in the country half of the time, no NPR,

driving back and forth to city, Al Franken and other progressives kept me sane. Bill Press was on also for a while.

Putin's pet oligarchs who are so generous to him and who probably have loaned tRump money.

And then there is the Exxon-Mobil oil deal with Russia that Ukraine wanted to tax, so Putin invaded Crimea to get a tax-free route for the pipeline. It included a mysterious sale of $19.5 Billion to a carefully hidden buyer. Is that on Rex Tillerson's tax returns or tRump's or both?
