Trump's combative stance with media applauded by his supporters

Source: CP24NOw

Scott Hiltgen, a 66-year-old office furniture sales broker from River Falls, Wisconsin, said he was glad to see the president push back against the media. He said reporters have no proof Trump or anyone around him did anything wrong.
"They're trying to make up a story that Trump worked with the Russians to rig the election," he said. "Now they're trying to make a big deal out of (former national security adviser) Mike Flynn. He was doing what he was supposed to do. He was talking to his counterparts. He was talking to the Russians. He got fired because he lied to (Vice-President Mike) Pence. There's no story there. The left media is so excited. They think they took this guy down. No. He made a mistake. He just lied."
Hiltgen said he remains squarely behind the billionaire president because he has done what he said he would do on the campaign trail.
"He's accomplished more in, whatever, three weeks, regarding the stuff he talked about," Hiltgen said. "That's what people voted for. I can't believe there's actually a politician doing what he says he would do. That never happens."

I saw a graphic yesterday online where it had trump loooking like a big thug behind the podium and all the reporters were smoking and ashy like he'd used a flame thrower on them.

They WANT a dictator. Period. Most of them are probably victims of violence in childhood, much of it religiously sanctioned. They are beyond the pale.

Some selections from a thread of RWAF tRump followers I was reading. Many of them are quite slavish.

"spanking the press now....love it"

"Excellent comment on the lack of integrity of the press. Now, tell the illegals to settle down or you’re going to go after every one of them. If they settle down, it will only be the criminals that will be picked up."

"I LOVE HIM!!! RE-CONFIRMED EVERY TIME HE SPEAKS!"

"He’s KILLING it!"

"Donald J. Trump is a truly beautiful man. Absolutely shining! Love you very much, brother President Trump! We are with you. We got your back."

"He’s reminding the media he won and has the support of the American people good for him. He’s not most articulate but what he is doing speaking honestly Totally honest. St Michael protect this man."

"He’s the most articulate president we’ve every had. Because he speaks without a script (though he’s using one now, or notes), and that necessarily sounds rougher than the manicured eructations of the perfumed princes. But he gets criticized for not doing perfectly something that nobody else is willing to attempt at all."

"The security and joy one gets listening to the Commander in Chief is a good feeling."

"I think disgusted is where he’s at, after learning just how dirty DC truly is, and how widespread the corruption. I’d say he’s possibly heartbroken at his America suffering so much from these cretins."

"When the enemedia calls DJT, “Mr. President” you can hear how it hurts them. Unlike of course how they each wrestled the other to get closer to 44’s junk."

"He is swatting the arrogant rubes as he should. Such disrespect these fascist/marxist brain dead reporters display...I love seeing the implosion of the bought and paid for media."

"It’s also refreshing to hear a presidential press conference without a thousand “uh’s” and “me’s”, like we heard from the Kenyan."

"There is NOTHING “insecure” about this wonderful President."

">>>What is CBC?<<<
It’s a a group of aggrieved Race Baiting Black Morons in Congress with the combined IQ of a overripe Grapefruit."

I wonder what press conference the person who made the quote about how it was refreshing to not have to hear the words uh and me in a press conference. All Donald Trump does is talk about himself during his press conferences. Donald Trump is the most me, me, me, me President I have ever seen. When does he ever stop talking about himself.

Then there is the other person who says Trump does not need a script and then goes on to say that Trump is using a script at the press conference. It is foolish to say that someone does not need a script and then say the person is using a script.

who isn't generally political but she voted for Trump and has been angry because of all the negative stuff people say about him. I haven't answered anything until today when she posted about his press conference and how unfairly he's being treated. I replied by asking her in a nice way if trump's being obsessed about the election results didn't bother her. She admitted she thought it was odd, but thinks it's because everyone is trying to belittle him. Then I said that I knew she supported him and certainly didn't want to argue with her but he scared me because I thought he seemed to not know what he's doing. For the first time, she admitted to some reservations too.

This is as close as I can come to good news tonight. Actually, I've begun to suspect that a lot of Trump voters are starting to feel uneasy about him but don't want to admit it because the anti-trump folks come on so strong... with good reason, but they don't really see it yet.

One of the posters on the thread said that trump is a "breath of fresh air." Didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

It will spawn massive conspiracy theory nonsense to a degree we will find sad and pathetic. Alex Jones will blow his tiny brain out on his ridiculous rant show, Jeffrey Lord will go back to his hole and jerk off to Nancy Reagan photos 17 hours a day, and the sad uninformed cult who believed this third rate snakeoil salesman was their hero, the saviour who actually cared about the little man, will believe with every fiber of their being, their man was set up. They will be ripe for the rise of another maniacal voice but alas for them, there will be a precedent for electing crazy...it will never happen again. Try this...

Imagine, that President Trump WERE secretly in a pact with Putin, or in someway truly evil and devoted to crippling the United States. Or perhaps he were the Antichrist, or some other supremely evil being. One of the first things he'd do is to coopt the mass media so that they would only speak positively about him.

Just for a moment, imagine that this were true, but only a few people were catching on to it, and the truth was slowly leaking out. Where would you get exposed to the truth if Faux News were coopted by the evil one? Where else would you be able to learn the truth?

The fact that there are journalists highly critical of him is a sign that, for the time being, we still have some checks on power. If you get into a situation where there is only positive news, then I would worry.

41. Where Was the Proof on Obama?
Fri Feb 17, 2017, 10:37 AM
Feb 2017

I am pretty certain that the guy in this article was willing to believe every rumor about Obama and his administration. The difference between the Obama Administration and the Trump Administration is that there actually was not any evidence to support the claims made against President Obama and his administration. However, there is ample evidence against the Trump Administration.

First, Mike Flynn did do something wrong. He lied to Vice President Mike Pence about talking about sanctions with the Russian Ambassador. Flynn lied to the FBI, which apparently is a felony. If he had done nothing wrong why did he lie about the conversation he had with the Russian Ambassador. I do believe older people used to tell young people if you did nothing wrong there is no reason to lie. It is also possible that

Second, yes there is a story when someone lies to the Vice President and gets fired as a result. Lying to the Vice President is a big deal. Lying is not a mistake. I am sorry, but you do not just forget what you said to a Russian Ambassador. If in the event you did forget what you said to a Russian Ambassador and then told the Vice President something that turned out to not be true you still need to be fired due to incompetence.

Third, Yes, Flynn was taken down, but not by the media. He was taken down by his own bad behavior. It is amazing how some of these Republicans will downplay the bad behavior of their politicians. Had someone in the Obama Administration discussed sanctions with a foreign official while George W. Bush was still in office people like the guy in this article would have been calling for treason charges to be filed against President Obama. If it had been proven that someone in President Obama's Administration had lied about what was said to a foreign official Republicans would have called for that person to be fired and for Obama to be impeached.

Finally, President Trump has not kept all of his promises. He promised to "drain the swamp". He has done the exact opposite. He has filled the swamp with even more toxic sludge.
