Perez fires back at Trump: I'll be your worst nightmare
Source: The Hill
Tom Perez fired back at President Trump on Saturday after the president offered the newly elected Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman a mock-congratulatory tweet.
"Call me Tom. And don't get too happy," tweeted Perez, the former Labor secretary during the Obama administration.
Perez added that Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), his primary rival for the DNC position that he appointed his deputy, would join other Democrats in being Trump's "worst nightmare."
[div class="exceerpt"] Call me Tom. And don't get too happy. @keithellison and I, and Democrats united across the country, will be your worst nightmare. https://t.co/fu7WvLofrD

(5,914 posts)Is that it has destroyed my childhood memories of Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. I loved that show. I never missed a single episode.

(11,787 posts)I loved Bill Cosby. I still own two or three record albums of his. Saw him live. I've never laughed so hard in my life. I was in physical pain when the show ended. The muscles at the base of my skull hurt (directly behind the ears) which caused a headache, my face muscles hurt, and my abs were wrecked. What an incredible talent. Alas, I can't even listen to those records anymore. Nor watch Fat Albert. Nor the Cosby show. Fucking asshole. Why man, why? He could have had anyone he wanted. He was rich, powerful, famous... I just don't understand. I'm the type of dude that's not interested in a woman unless she's interested in me. I don't need to lie, get them drunk, drug them. And I don't have what he had. Fucking asshole.
Dave Starsky
(5,914 posts)I don't think we can ever understand it.
Same thing with Donald Trump. No, Dick Bag, that is NOT "locker room talk". In any locker room I've ever been in, if some dude was mouthing off about grabbing women's pussies or getting them drunk to have sex with them, that shit would be shut down immediately. That asshole would be lucky to walk out of there with all of his teeth.

(11,787 posts)Apparently, you and I were lucky enough to be raised by strong women. I've always treated women as I'd want to be treated. It's just who I am. I almost feel sorry for douchebags like Trump. They miss out on so much, you know, not being able to have adult relationships with the fairer sex. It must suck to be so empty inside.

Graduated on schedule...

(5,914 posts)core requirements and prerequisites. Get that shit out of the way during the summer so you can focus on classes you care about during the regular school year.
I always took as many classes as I could during the summer. I suppose if I'd had a girlfriend, I might have felt differently.

(41,818 posts)FOR his Party members. No OTHER President in History ever worked JUST for his party and excluded the other side. A President is supposed to work for All sides, but not Trump. If Republicans had their way, there would only ever be JUST ONE party. Their party.

(28,755 posts)i never thought in my lifetime i would be living with a president like this. and i have despised all of the republican presidents in my living memory. each one worse than the last, or so i thought, and yet here we are.
i like Perez's fighting tweet. we need lots of energy, lots and lots of it. everything we hold dear is at risk.

(12,882 posts)I voluntarily went into Vietnam to see if war was a glorious as portrayed by Hollywood. It wasn't. Perez's attitude is better than DWS' was, but this party needs a GENUINE "new direction" - not one that's just a new dressing on the same salad!

(28,755 posts)i just joined Durham Democratic Women here in Durham NC. This group has been around for ages, the membership primarily older white women, in a liberal city that is truly diverse. They WANT the new blood, the young blood, people of color, different creeds, sexuality/gender. And because they do represent kind of the old guard of the democratic party, they need to be part of the conversation. They know how the wheels turn. They know how to organize. A huge coalition of many groups coming together can and will change the face of the democratic party, and the populace is ripe for this change.
Thank you for your service. As i said to a more recent veteran, but i wish these endless wars would stop.

(31,777 posts)Responding let Trump know he needs to STFU, butt out, and take the punishment. Perez just told us - we don't have to show one iota of respect to the Republican party (Trump is the leader) while he's in charge of VA, NJ and the 2018 midterms.

(35,411 posts)as opposition to the Republicans in congress. Every response to Trump should be re-directed to Republicans. Hang Trump around the necks of the Republicans in congress.
