Top Intel Dem: Committee Has 'Reached No Conclusion' Yet On Trump, Russia

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published FEBRUARY 27, 2017, 3:25 PM EDT

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, said on Monday that the committee has "reached no conclusion" about whether members of President Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia during the election.

"We have, I think, reached no conclusion, nor could we, in terms of issues of collusion, because we haven't called in a single witness or reviewed a single document on that issue as of yet," Schiff told reporters during a press conference.

"It's very important, I think, that we not prejudge either the conclusions of our investigation or any conclusion that our intelligence agencies may or may not reach without doing our own independent analysis," he added.

Earlier on Monday, however, House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes (R-CA) insisted there was no evidence that members of Trump's campaign were in contact with Russian officials before the election. "The way it sounds like to me is, is it's been looked into and there's no evidence of anything there," he said.

2. Seems that it has yet to begin, so a conclusion can not be given.

3. I watched Nunes at his press conference actually say:

"There's no 'there' there." He also implied that the Intelligence Agencies have said as much. I actually got nauseated thinking that this is what we're up against.
I also immediately wondered what Adam Schiff would say about Nune's statements? Schiff and other Democrats are really going have their work cut out for them to keep these treasonous, ReThug fucks from covering all this up.

5. "No evidence" because they won't look for the evidence. Nunes is setting himself up for a fall.

When (not if) the truth comes out, everybody involved in the cover-up will go down.

Nunes did the bidding of the WH and called the media to tell them to back off because there is nothing to the Russia/trump connection, before there was any investigation.

The #russiagate cover-up is massive, reaching into Congress (not too surprising) & possibly even the FBI. These people better get it together soon and speak the truth so they can stand on the right side of history.

when he makes his statements for the press.

The "I Think" sounds like weasel words to me.

Any thoughts?
