Sessions has come under fire for not disclosing at his Senate confirmation hearing that he twice met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak over the course of the 2016 presidential campaign.
Several Democrats including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) have called on Sessions to resign. In addition, several Republicans including Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) and Raul Labrador (R-ID) said Sessions should recuse himself from any investigations into ties between Russian officials and the Trump campaign.

(26,283 posts)someone in the campaign didn't know not to mention we don't know who in Congress might have known and or been involved with those meetings he had such as Ryan or Mitch for example and it could be part of the reason why they have been stonewalling any investigation into Russian activity inside the US before and during the elections.

(26,283 posts)they "are" saying.
Flynn for example is not part of the administration currently however he could have been involved in meeting with the Russians up to eyebrows or helping to pass messages however technically they would not be lying if they now said no one in the administration was communicating with Russia if he was the sole one.

(65,330 posts)Jefferson Beauregard needs to be forced to resign.
Best part: he gave up his senate seat to take the AG job. If (when) forced to resign, he will be neither.
He will be pushed out becauseTrump has no loyalty. He will lop off any of his sycophants to protect himself.
