US immigration officers target Africans as Trump ramps up mass deportation efforts

Source: RawStory

In the time that Donald Trump has been president, there has been increased attention on immigration raids happening in communities across the country, but one immigrant community hasn’t received much media attention. On Sunday, March 5, 130 people were targeted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and deported to Senegal, according to ThinkProgress.

An ICE official who spoke with the outlet anonymously said that the individuals from Senegal who were rounded up for deportation “were found to be ineligible to remain in the United States and ordered removed by an immigration official, in accordance with their final orders of removal.” The deportation efforts were also coordinated with Senegalese authorities over multiple “months.”

The number of people who were deported to Senegal on Sunday indicates a significant increase in recent years. In fiscal year 2016, 21 people were deported to Senegal, according to ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations Report. In 2015, the total number of Senegalese deportations was 22. Last weekend, 130 people were deported in a single day.

Throughout his first few weeks in office, President Trump has doubled down on his promise to increase deportation efforts. Trump has signed broad immigration executive orders since taking office, using language that prioritizes individuals who are in the country without documentation even if they do not pose a criminal threat.

Let's see what happens when it's a group of whites, like some of the Irish that came over on a visa that's since expired?

Any bets on them being offered special treatment?

a peaceful, tolerant government that was/is seen as something of a model, in spite of its location prone to strife both geographically and temporly. It's likely that religion is the main reason for this administration's decision to persecute Senegalese, though perhaps not the only one. After all, most Muslims are also "brown" or "black."

may end up in that deportation line, along with all the other non-white "undesirables" or heading off by boxcar to one of prezident bannons 'reeducation camps' to learn how to bootlick like van jones, ben carson et al or die.

up in Boston and elsewhere.

<...>

Between 11 and 12 million illegal immigrants are believed to be living in the US, some 50,000 of those are understood to be Irish. Kinsella warned:

"If people sign documents – they’re signing their own removal orders."

<...>

“There was a time when the undocumented Irish fighting for recognition in the States had to decide whether to fight for recognition as a special case compared to other minority groups, or to fight alongside them for status.

"The Irish had that extra bit of clout because of political and business leaders with Irish connections – such as McCain but those days are gone now."

However contrary to the above, they should be secure in the thought that they "don't fit the 'description'".

With the proviso that many immigrants tend to group or cluster in specific areas of specific cities. I'm not sure that Irish would do this. It would make a raid harder to mount, with 130 being a fairly large number and probably scattered over 50-90 different locations. (By which I mean not "apartment buildings" but "parts of cities or in different cities."

"illegals". I.e., based on past practice under this administration, it's NOT the European illegal immigrants here in the U.S. that they are stalking.

It's easier for them to target "non-white" and ignore "white".

because of Donny's mother. Or back to Germany because his grandfather was the worst elements of that country.

I'm still waiting to hear how the border wall will help against people arriving by plane legally and overstaying their visas.
