More bomb threats sent to Jewish centers

Jewish Community Centers in Indiana, New York, Texas and Wisconsin were threatened by bomb threats Sunday, forcing evacuations of some of the facilities on Purim, a holiday celebrating the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia.

​More than 100 threats have been made to Jewish facilities across the country since the start of the year.

The Jewish Community Center in Brighton, N.Y., reopened Sunday afternoon after emailed bomb threats shook the facility for the second time in less than a week.

"We are pleased that we can reopen, and we are reopening — again — as a warming station," said Arnie Sohinki, executive director for the Louis S. Wolk Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester.
