Lindsey Graham: House Health Care Bill Is 'Mortally Wounded'

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Wednesday said the Republican proposal to replace Obamacare was mortally wounded, and that he would tell President Donald Trump to pursue letting Obamacare collapse and starting over with a new bill.
In an appearance on NBCs Today," Graham was asked whether House Republicans health care bill was dead on arrival.
It is mortally wounded, I dont know if its died yet, Graham replied. Rand Paul will not vote for the House bill, because he believes refundable tax credits is an entitlement in another form. My state did not take Medicaid expansion. The House bill allows open enrollment for the entire country all the way through 2019 for Medicaid, which is fundamentally broken. I dont like that. This is the last best chance for Republicans to pass health care by themselves and screw it up.
Graham said that he would advise Trump to try to get a good bill, but that, if he cant, to keep Obamacare as law, and wait for what Graham described as its eventual collapse. Let Obamacare collapse and challenge the Democrats to help him fix a problem they created, he said.

Why is it taking so long?: Lindsey Graham calls out Trump for delay in providing wiretap proof

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) and Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D) sent a letter to FBI Dir. James Comey asking him to state on the record by Wednesday whether there is an active investigation into Pres. Donald Trumps ties to forces within the Russian government.
On Wednesday, Mediaite.com said, NBCs Today Show host Matt Lauer asked Graham in an interview whether Trump sets of Grahams BS monitor.
Congress is going to flex its muscle here, said Graham. Well issue a subpoena, well hold up the Deputy Attorney Generals nomination until Congress is provided with information to finally clear the air as to whether or not there was a warrant issues against the Trump campaign.
Personally, youre the kind of guy who strikes me as having, as my friends would say, a good BS monitor you know what that means, said Lauer. What does your monitor tell you about this wiretapping story?

(4,429 posts)They created the problem. Obamacare would be fine if everyone had a mandate to get healthcare. Republicans who wouldn't allow their states to take the Medicaid Expansion and now have done away with the individual mandate...........
We need to keep that front and center. Republicans destroyed Obamacare.

(14,559 posts)sadly, this simple fact is WELL beyond the capacity for 2/3 of this country to either want to understand or accept.
They are truly soulless POS.

what he really meant was:
you are fucking us so fucking hard, we won't be able to be elected to dog catcher if this piece of shit goes through. we all know ACA works but we have to give voice to the opposite so our poor rube base doesn't abandon us!! now shut the fuck up and move on!
