Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said on Sunday that House Republicans' "three-bucket solution" to repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act "ain't gonna happen."

"The President and the House Speaker say that's going to happen, it's going to be a two-step process," CBS' John Dickerson began. "You're chuckling."

"That ain't gonna happen," Cruz said. "It's their so-called three-bucket solution, which is all the good stuff is in bucket three." He said that "bucket three" would take "eight Democrats" to pass.

"Right now, Senate Democrats are opposing everything. You can't get eight Senate Democrats to agree on saying good morning," Cruz said. "I've called bucket three the sucker's bucket, and what I have been urging the President and the administration and leaders in both houses, take everything in bucket three, put it in bucket one."

UPDATE

Ted Cruz Declines to Answer Whether People Can ‘Trust This President’
by Jon Levine | 11:15 am, March 19th, 2017

Senator Ted Cruz took the stage on Face the Nation on Sunday to defend President Donald Trump’s political agenda. Host John Dickerson jumped into the mix by pressing the Senator on Trump’s claim that he was wiretapped by his predecessor, Barack Obama.

“There were two FISA applications for some form of surveillance or wiretaps,” said Cruz. “I think it’s important to learn a little more detail about what was contained in those applications.”

In his response, Dickerson cut deep. “You, in the campaign, went back and forth about the question of veracity,” he said. “Trump told stories about your father and JFK’s assassination.” This prompted a moment of very pained laughter from Cruz, who previously called Trump “dishonest” and amoral.”

“There seems to be as much evidence for that, as there is for this wiretapping claims. Can people trust this president?” Dickerson continued.

Cruz notably declined to say yes. “Well listen, I don’t know what basis this president has for these allegations,” he said. “They’re serious allegations, he is now the president of the United States. The Department of Justice, the FBI the CIA, they all report to him and we should examine what the evidence is. I think it would be quite good for the administration to put forward what the evidence is.”

We buy several hundred tight-fitting galvanized buckets and jam them onto the heads of GOP lawbrakers! We'll say it's a security measure - kinda like a protective helmet - one to protect the rest of us from THEM!

that I'm one of those goofy "compassionate types", I propose that when it's time to feed those bucket-wearing idiots, we stand them on their heads and fill their buckets with nice hot soup!

They assume that should they offer their support to pass this reeking pile of shit that you and you fellow Repugnants would then fuck them over despite assurances that you would never do such a thing but one can hardly blame them in light of how you and your fellow Repugnants treated President Clinton, President Obama and Hillary.

Good. They shouldn't trust the Repubs, ever. The Repubs wanted this for 8 years and now they have it, all of it.

...because the "good stuff" as he calls it, isn't going to happen, period. They don't put the pea under the shell you're actually going to choose. Cons don't work that way.

You may not like those things,

You may think those things are stupid,

Those things may destroy civilization as we know it,

And those things may kill you,

But you can ‘Trust This President’ to do them.
