Mook: Trump aides 'should be prosecuted for treason' if they conspired with Russia

Source: The Hill

BY AMIE PARNES - 03/20/17 11:38 AM EDT

Hillary Clinton's former campaign manager said Monday that President Trump's campaign aides should be "prosecuted for treason" if an FBI investigation proves they coordinated with Russia in the presidential campaign.

Robby Mook said he's "glad" FBI Director James Comey is testifying before the House Intelligence Committee, where Comey on Monday morning disclosed that his agency is investigating possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Moscow during the election.

"We need to find out exactly what happened," Mook said in an email to The Hill. "If US campaign aides helped the Russians, knew about the Russians plans, or asked the Russians to intervene in any way, they should be prosecuted for treason and measures should be put in place to make sure this never happens again. "He said Russian President Vladimir Putin's goal was clearly trying someone "who he regarded as an enemy of his regime."

"He was punishing her for actions she took on behalf of the American people as our Secretary of State," Mook said.

This has been a topic of discussion on DU since at least as early as December 2015, when Paul Manafort and Carter Page, among others, started popping up in the news, attached to stories about RT, Moscow, and Ukraine.

Any elected folks should be immediately impeached, then tried for treason. That could include Eddie Munster, McTurtle, Pinch, Sessions and any other rat bastards involved. Clean them all out! Wonder if that's one of the reasons Comey isn't more forthcoming? (That's probably just wishful thinking).

But I still don't think House Intelligence Committee Chairman Nunes will allow a thorough, independent investigation into Trump's ties to Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

an independent investigation. Don't forget he'll be thinking about his 2018 re-election bid.

actually says or he wouldn't open his moronic piehole.

N.B. Even Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were not prosecuted for 'Treason' but instead for 'Espoinage.'

Words have meaning and this applies equally to Dems and Republicans.
