Former chairman of Colorado Republican party suspected of voter fraud, forgery

Source: Denver Post

Former Colorado Republican party chairman Steve Curtis, 57, has been charged with voter fraud and forgery, prosecutors say.

Curtis, an AM radio talk show host, appeared Tuesday in Weld County District Court, where he was advised that he faces two counts in the case: forgery, a Class 5 felony, and misdemeanor voter fraud.

Weld County District Attorney’s spokesman Tyler Hill confirmed the charges, but said he couldn’t discuss details of the allegations, which were first reported by KDVR-Channel 31.

However a criminal complaint filed Feb. 1 says the forgery charge stems from “intent to defraud” a woman on the 2016 general election mail-in ballot. The complaint says Curtis lives in Aurora.

Bwahaha!

In spite of being the ones who are always screaming about voter fraud, it's always the Republicans who actually get caught doing it most of the time.

I don't quite understand the specifics of the charges myself. Defrauding a woman by mail somehow while out of state?

The man is being charged in Weld County, where political offices are overwhelmingly held by Republicans. The case came out of the troubled office of the county clerk (R), who happens to be the niece of a county commissioner (R) who the other commissioners (all Rs) are trying to boot. Meanwhile, the entire board of county commissioners (again, all Rs) is getting audited. The mayor (R) and a city councilor (R) were recently compelled to apologize to a Hispanic city councilor (the only D on council) for yelling at her and telling her she doesn't belong here.

And they keep trying to blame the smell on the cattle feedlots . . .

just like he was right about the election being stolen.

He just was mistaken as to who committed the election fraud and who stole the election.

democrats and illegal 'alien' voter voter fraud as long as he's been on radio - that's what they do, it's part of the job of selling voter suppression legislation, and has been working well for rcons for years because liberals ignore it.

Last fall, ahead of the 2016 election, Curtis had knocked Democrats as the party associated with voter fraud.

“It seems to me,” Curtis said in a 42-minute segment of his KLZ 560 show, “that virtually every case of voter fraud I can remember in my lifetime was committed by Democrats.”
