Story highlights

"I would hope that the President would apologize and move on," Flake said.
"But the accusations about the former president wiretapping, that's a serious allegation that you make about somebody," Flake said.

(CNN)Republican Sen. Jeff Flake said Monday that President Donald Trump should apologize to Barack Obama for alleging that the former president had ordered a wiretap of Trump Tower during the presidential campaign.

Flake, one of Trump's foremost Republican critics during the campaign, was asked on "Mac & Gaydos" on KTAR Arizona radio if he felt Trump should publicly admit he was wrong.
"I think that ought to happen and we ought to move on," Flake replied.

Asked later in the interview if his worst fears about Trump had been confirmed, Flake repeated his view that the President should apologize to his predecessor, though he said he didn't think that Trump's campaign had colluded with the Russians to defeat Hillary Clinton..................

Resign or face impeachment

Yes, Pence is not much better sometimes, and I would be inclined to think Trump knows this, you have to come and fire some of the the top level to keep the rest wondering "if they did that to him what can happen to me".

No one in DC should be exempt from basic laws.

Any of use accuse the ex-pres about something and of with our heads.

Disparaging others, especially if they are part of the the system, is not excusable either.

Encouraging others, your base, to perform acts that are at least immoral if not illegal - we get nailed for that.

and the list grows every day, so when are the congress-critter men going to get their balls out of their wife's purse and do their job.

which he never would be, how the fuck could you actually apologize for something like that? He told a blatant lie about the former president, KNEW he was telling a blatant lie, doubled down on it even when everyone with two brain cells to rub together knew it was a lie, and then lied some more. That's so far past what any apology could hope to cover that it boggles the mind.
