WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) Private-sector hiring slowed in April to the slowest pace in four months, according to data released Wednesday. ... Employers expanded their workforce by a seasonally adjusted 177,000 jobs last month the fewest since December, ADP said.
Economists polled by Econoday had forecast an April gain in ADP employment of 170,000, compared with an originally reported increase of 263,000 for March. On Wednesday, ADP revised that months increase down to 255,000.
....
Economists use ADPs data to get a feeling for the Labor Departments employment report, which will be released Friday. It covers government jobs in addition to the private sector. ... ADP had a big miss in March, however, outrunning the private-sector reading within the governments report by 174,000.
....
Economists polled by MarketWatch expect the Labor Departments report to show that the pace of payroll gains picked up in April to 200,000 after a gain of only 98,000 in March.

Even though I'm making a lot more now, I'm still below the national median, and rents in my area have gone up 50-100% since the recession.

really doesn't inspire much confidence to hire or invest in growth. I'm predicting the Trump years to be low growth compared to the Obama years.
