Christian Author: Satan Is Directing Anti-Trump Protests
Source: Huffington Post
In a video clip posted online by Right Wing Watch, Richardson said:
In my opinion, when you see the rage of Satan directed against something, thats usually evidence that God is involved because Satan is enraged in that which God is doing in the Earth and yes, theres a lot of rage and Donald Trump and Ill be honest: I wrestled through a lot of issues during the early part of the campaign.
But, Ive become solidly convinced in my spirit that the Lord is using this administration. Hes doing something quite powerful. And its for that reason that the rage of Satan ― this irrational rage of Satan ― is so directed toward this man.

This is late breaking news in the sense that a) it was posted about three hours ago, and b) a substantial number of right wing 'christians' seem to think Trump is God's 'anointed.' To me, this is frightening because Trump is sending so many ships to the Korean peninsula that Kim Jung Un is threatening nuclear war. And what will these 'christians' say to that: Oh, well, it's the end times...
I posted this because we need to be alarmed about these religious fanatics.

(37,313 posts)TV preachers have stiff competition from trump. Since you can't get noticed by jumping up on a table and ripping off your clothes you have to say shit like this.
In right-wing-religion, crazy gets paid.

(3,871 posts)The speaker claims (among other things) a "terrorist movement in the United States...."
Here is some background on that speaker - apparently, he was not a "normal" sort of FBI agent:
March 01, 2017
Stephen Piggott
John Guandolo a disgraced ex-FBI agent turned anti-Muslim activist will be in Rapides Parish, Louisiana next week, to train law enforcement. Guandolo, who runs a strategic and operational training & consulting group named Understanding the Threat, travels the country ostensibly teaching LEOs at every level of government how to seek out terrorist cells in their area. Guandolos trainings instead serve as anti-Muslim witch-hunts, often times targeting and vilifying local Muslim leaders.
...
Guandolos history of anti-Muslim statements and associations with anti-Muslim groups clearly indicates that his trainings on the threat of radical Islam are biased, and a number of his previous trainings have been cancelled when his history is pointed out to the agency booking him. Last year for example, the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) took issue with a training he had scheduled in Texas, which was nixed. Guandolos response? To call CAIR a terrorist organization and liken them to ISIS, writing, Suit wearing jihadis are no less dangerous than ISIS soldiers on the battlefield.

(7,524 posts)...that 45 is able to win over the so-called "religious" people when he probably hasn't voluntarily seen the inside of a church since the last Baptist hooker party.
He does stuff like this "anti-religious discrimination" law which is actually a license to discriminate against so-called "sinners" which are just LBTQ and unmarried mothers and ethnicities they don't like, and thus they are willing to overlook his own Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony, Wrath, and Sloth.

(454 posts)He isn't deceiving most of the rest of the world.
But if all these people are so easily fooled by 45, despite supposedly being aware of the dangers of setting up false messiahs, think of how many would be easily fooled by someone who has the charisma and the cunning that 45 lacks, someone who becomes charismatically influential on a global scale.
It's possible that we could be in the process of setting up an environment where such a person could take power under promises of peace and global unity. A time when people would do nearly anything to stop all the current chaos and destruction caused by people like 45.

(13,485 posts)for a thousand years by the same type of demigods right through the 20th and into the 21st century. Whether the are selling a belief or a fear or a piece of glass to build a church or the tears of Mary or a blessed trinket that will heal, or dreams of wealth or the second coming of Christ.... it sells.
It sells because humans are gullible. They are gullible because they are uneducated or ill-informed.
That makes this opinion as old as religion and as new as May 2017.

Now with people who can't decern the difference between real and fake due to the media, greed, and their own stupidity of the Internet, the two sides are getting muddled together into one great pile of shit nonsense.

(9,350 posts)So, why did he and others like him not feel this way about President Obama? There was large amounts of anger when President Obama was elected. A number of arguably bad men and women pledged to destroy President Obama. President Obama did a great deal of good for large numbers of people. Why was his opposition not seen as bad people trying to stop good from happening? I guess this is what some right wing people have to tell themselves in order to live with voting for Trump.

(9,117 posts)DT is the sort of secular big cheese roundly denounced in both the Old and New Testaments, and this Richardson expects us to believe that DT is Gd's annointed?
I admit that I readily find Richardson's claim to be so much BS, but I'd think that even some Fundies would see that making cause with Trump is making cause with Mammon.

(2,065 posts)Trump has given us a million solid reasons why he is a total disaster for our country, our civil rights and our democratic form of government, a million different reasons for and articles of impeachment or removal from office. Tell me, Mr. Richardson: Is God against free speech and freedom of the press? And if you cherish your own right to free speech in condemning those who oppose Trump, how can you look yourself in the mirror and deny that those of us who oppose Trump have the same God-given right?
But the most sane, rational argument against Richardson and his ilk is this: Have you really taken a good, hard look at Mr. Trump? And how can you do so without coming to the conclusion that he has exhibited a whole host of un-Godly qualities? How could God really be in favor of pussy grabbing, dictator loving, free press hating, putting private business interests above the national interest, and all the God-awful corrupt, deceitful behavior that Trump indulges in and gets away with on a daily basis? I know that nobody's perfect, and we all have our faults, but Good Lord - Trump has too many faults to be used by God for anything! Heck, he can't even do the mundane business of governing our nation, so how could he be capable of doing God's work???
I myself, as opposed as I was to Trump during the presidential campaign, had a brief period right after the election in which I was willing to at least maintain a semblance of an open mind, to see if Trump would really fulfill all his campaign promises, but day by day, this good will of mine was slapped down by the appointment of one swamp monster after another to high cabinet positions. Day by day, it became increasingly clear that everything about this guy is a LIE - and isn't Satan supposed to be the Father of All Lies?
God gave every human being two very precious things: our reason and our conscience. Anyone who has really opened his eyes and switched on his brain to take a good, hard look at Trump and what he is doing to this country cannot support this great charlatan and impostor.

A little context: the cartoonist, Dave Willis, grew up in a strict conservative evangelical household, and Joyce, the little kid/older kid/young woman in this progression is something of an alter-ego of his about how that bubble bursts for some people, and of some of the hypocrisies that manifest in the people for whom it doesn't burst.
