No women among senators working on ObamaCare repeal bill

Source: MSN/The Hill

None of the 13 senators working on an ObamaCare repeal plan in the Senate are women.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has chosen a team of 13 GOP senators to craft a healthcare bill, according to multiple reports.

Along with McConnell himself, the team is Republican Sens. Orrin Hatch (Utah), Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Mike Enzi (Wyo.), John Thune (S.D.), Ted Cruz (Texas), Mike Lee (Utah), Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), John Barrasso (Wyo.), John Cornyn (Texas), and Rob Portman (Ohio).

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) was not part of the group, but "has been an integral part of the discussions," according to a Washington Examiner report.

Where is Joni Ernst? I was expecting her to run interference and defend her male Republican colleagues who question why men have to pay rates that incorporate the cost of prenatal coverage.

the puke-controlled Senate isn't going to pass some version of dumpcare

is deluding themselves. The billionaire class is exerting too much pressure to get those tax cuts.

McTurtle will have this gang working assiduously in the dark and then spring the bill on the nation as a done deal.

They will not stop on this.

We need to continue to resist.

when everyone was saying if it passes the house it would be dead in the senate. I kept saying they have the votes 50 + Pence. The only Non loonies are maybe Collins & Murkowski, and guess what not in this group. The very most right wing nuts other than Gardner & Portman are in this group.

But that bill will be nothing like what passed the House. Then it will be up to the House members to give up on the things they required to sign the House bill. People said that the Senate wouldn't pass the House bill, and that's already been proven to be true. The Senate is starting from scratch.

Of course there's no telling what the House will make of the Senate's changes.

will work something out. Get those tax cuts and slash coverage. It's to their mutual advantage with their billionaire paymasters, so they will get enough pukes to fall in line. And of course dump will sign anything they put in front of him.

"Die Peasants Die" is their motto.

The difference between the parties has never been more starkly illustrated.

And, obviously the pukes think they can determine the outcome of the 2018 and 2020 elections despite the negative impact of repealing the ACA.

We need to stay on this 24/7 because they are fanatic about selling out the citizenry.

But hopefully they'll end up with the same problem as before with the infighting in the house.

Capito (WV), Collins (ME), Ernst (IA), Fischer (NE), Murkowski (AK), out of a total of 21 women. And naturally they couldn't "find" one, although Collins likes to be a thorn in their side (but still votes with them).

Only the most conservative white men here. This is about the MONEY, nothing else.

They're there to strip all the funding out of the ACA. They'll let a woman in the room when they're done colluding, to throw a few crumbs to women & put it on the floor & ram it through.
