My Dinner With Comey: Current and Former FBI Officials Dispute Trump Account of Meeting

Source: NBC News

Despite what President Donald Trump said earlier in the day, James Comey did not seek a dinner with the president to retain his job, one current and one former FBI official close to Comey told NBC News Thursday evening.

The January dinner meeting between the two men, the sources said, was requested by the White House. And the former senior FBI official said Comey would never have told the president he was not under investigation — also contradicting what Trump said.

"He tried to stay away from it [the Russian-ties investigation]," said the former official, who worked closely with Comey and keeps in touch with him. "He would say, 'look sir, I really can't get into it, and you don't want me to.'"

If they weren't there, they can't really say what was said, for sure. It would take Comey to say it. Honeycombe8 May 2017 #3

“I think the question is did [Trump’s] campaign aides - did the administration - violate the law. That’s where I think there has to be strong public pressure to appoint an independent special prosecutor,” said Chemerinsky.

I think Democrats learned there lesson on Voting, Now the must Protest to get a special prosecutor. Trump thinks looking in on teenage girls dressing at his pageants is kosher because he owns them, then brags what beautiful bodies they have, how would you like it it if it was your daughter or granddaughter. grabbing woman by there private parts then telling a news announcer and God knows whom else. Starting a college just to rip people off, then just pay a $25 million dollar fine and walk away saying nothing to those he screwed over! This guy lies so much professional counters are not able to keep up. How do you explain this administration to your 10 year old daughter when she asks, daddy why are you letting this man be president, we would not allow him in are house.

Speak Up and VOTE!
