Former Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey Dies At 59

Source: AJC

Television and film producer Brad Gray, who served for years as chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, has died, according to multiple reports. He was 59 years old.

Grey, who was born Dec. 29, 1957 in New York, headed Paramount from 2005 until February. He left the Viacom Inc.-owned studio before the end of his 15-year contract with the company as part of a management shake-up for the struggling studio, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Before heading the studio, Grey made his name as a television producer and partner at Brillstein-Grey Entertainment. Among his production credits are HBO's Emmy Award and Golden Globe-winning series "The Sopranos," 2006's "The Departed" and 2005's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
